Felix's POV
Cry's fingers trail through my hair.
I know it's hers because no one else does the circles with their middle fingers like that or the light touches with their pinkies.
My head is in her lap again.
I blinked awake slowly.
"I love you," I smiled and a tear fell on my cheek. She kissed where it landed lightly.
"I love you so much more," she said.
I looked down at my leg. It was properly bandaged.
I could still move my foot around.
The doctor walked back in.
"How is it?" He asked.
"Good," I said. "Why did they want to shoot you?" I asked remembering how I re-injured myself the first time.
"I don't agree with guards shooting fifteen year old girls," he gestured at Tuesday and the guard that shot her's body.
I had nothing to say to that.
He had actual crutches and I thanked him and took them. He gave me meds for the pain and we left again. I found Charlie slumped against a wall. The bullets in his chest.
I don't know what the appropriate reaction would be for that.
Is it a minutes silence?
I don't know. I just closed his eyes and we moved on.
They will live in our hearts.
And I will have the guilt of knowing I was the reason they are dead.
We left the building without sight of ken or Sally.
We went back to the car which felt so empty and we drove towards New York.
This will take a long time.
