A series of murders in the Arkalay Mountains just south of Raccoon City were reported to the Police Department. A family was brutally murdered, eaten alive...

After a few hours, officers were sent in to investigate the case they never returned and were presumed dead...

Soon after the Special Tactics and Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S) were assigned to investigate the cannibalistic murders.

S.T.A.R.S is divided into two teams: Alpha and Bravo, as Bravo is sent in first for the assignment, but contact with them is lost shortly after...

Alpha Team consisting of Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Barry Burton, Albert Wesker, Brad Vickers and Joseph Aiken are sent in to investigate Bravo teams' disappearance...

Not soon after are they attacked by ferocious undead dogs in which kills Joseph, as they scatter to seek refuge, they come across an abandoned mansion...

The helicopter pilot Brad gets separated along the way to the mansion...

The remaining four decide to split and search the entire mansion alone, in doing so along the way they find other members of Bravo and Alpha team dead...

They are attacked by creatures roaming the mansion and land un-secured. Killing anything that gets in their sights...

Along the way they find that the Umbrella Corporation to be behind the secret illegal experiments, Umbrella being one of the leading pharmaceutical markets in the world...

As they fight to survive, Alpha Team finds other survivors like Rebecca Chambers of Bravo team who was investigating before there team lost contact...

They come across the highly contagious mutagenic biological agent known as the T-Virus, this agent is the cause of all the creatures' creations and mutations...

After finding out more and more information they are shocked to find that their Alpha Team Leader, Albert Wesker, to be a double agent working for Umbrella...

An intense battle breaks out between the former squad mates, ending in Albert getting impaled through the back by a mutated Tyrant, a giant humanoid monster created through prolonged exposure to the T-Virus....

The remaining survivors then manage to put down the Tyrant momentarily, giving them enough time to escape the Spencer Mansion, where they surprisingly see previously missing Brad Vickers ready with a chopper to evacuate....

Just before they are all going to cross a courtyard to the Chopper, the Tyrant appears and decimates the group before a rocket launcher is provided to them. With one shot the Tyrant is put down permanently, giving the survivor's just enough time to escape in the Chopper before the Mansion explodes killing all the creatures within it as well.... 

For a brief moment, everything is fine until rats infected with the T-virus begin spreading the virus through Racoon City....

In a matter of hours, nearly the entire population is infected. Turning its citizens into cannibalistic monsters. Stuck in the middle of this crisis, a freshly recruited Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield (younger sister to Chris Redfield), Brad Vickers and Jill Valentine... 

Leon and Claire find each other in the beginning of the crisis but are constantly separated as they traverse the infected Dead City. As they are pushed deeper and deeper into Racoon City, details of the fallout begin to be known to the two. Along the way they find two survivors, Ada Wong and Sherry Birkin... 

Ada a woman in search of her missing scientist boyfriend and Sherry, daughter of the T-Virus maker, William Birkin... 

After being locked in an underground facility beneath the city streets, the group is hunted by William Birkin, who transformed into a monster after injecting himself with the T-Virus...

William severely wounds Ada, the group leaves her behind, not knowing her true fate...

The remaining group, Leon, Claire and Sherry manage to escape the underground facility via a train. As they are in transit, Birkin attacks once more. Claire and Leon finish him off, leaving the corpse for it to be destroyed in the facility's self-destruction sequence... 

After escaping Racoon City, the trio see the city in the far distance moments before the entire city is hit with a Nuke. Completely decimating the entire city to nothing but ash...

Leon vows to take Umbrella down while Claire continues to search for her missing brother, while Sherry is left in the care of the government.  

While Leon is in the midst of his adventure, Jill and Brad are attacked at the start of the infection by Nemesis, a bio-organic weapon...

Umbrella already knowing the identities of Alpha and Bravo team that destroyed the Spencer Mansion, the company decides to get rid of any witnesses of the incident...

Sending Nemesis to get rid of them, Brad and Jill narrowly escape the creatures grasp a few times before Brad is ultimately killed by it. After a brief fight against it alone, Jill manages to fend it off long enough to escape...

During Jill's journey through the city, she teams up with Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasures Service (UBCB) members, Carlos Oliveria, Mikhail Viktor and Nicholai Zinoviev...

As they are hunted around the city by Nemesis, Viktor is killed in the process...

Nicholai ends up betraying the remaining two, where they find out he was working with Umbrella as well. After a brief fight, Nicholai 'falls' to his death...

Carlos and Jill manage to find a Helicopter on the roof of the Hospital and escape the city moments before the Nuke makes contact with the city. Erasing all evidence of Umbrella's involvement in the tragedy...

Now it's a war to stop the Umbrella Corporation and anyone else involved with them from causing nightmares ever again...

What did you think? I know some of you already know all this crap, but its for those who dont really know the "plot" of the beginning of the series. Plus I had to make it short and to the point or this would a really long ass chapter LOL. But I also wanted you to know what the characters have been through in the beginning of this fight.
