Chapter 3- An Inhuman Talent
-6 months later Sky's **POV**
Steph, Tia, Amber, Leah and I were sitting in our spot in the little garden that I had designed for our school as a project, under the big gum tree. Leah had her ukulele and was playing 'talking to the moon' by Bruno mars whilst humming the lyrics to it. I still haven’t sung since the day that my parents died. A lot had happened since then. I had gone into depression and still 6 months later had it. But thanks to the girls and as Steph would say 'one direction' I was doing heaps better and was almost all clear.
"Come on just do it" Steph said out of the blue
"What" I asked confused
"Audition with us" she said. I let out a sigh
"Steph you know I haven't sung since that day"
"Oh come on, what ever happened to 'the sky is the limit'?"Steph asked
The sky is the limit used to be my motto as a joke
"She came crashing back down to earth."I said
"Fine but will you at least sing for us!" Steph said more of a demand than a question.
"Yeah!” Tia, Leah and Amber all agreed
"What song?" I said giving in.
"What about........Moments by our 5 most favorite people in the whole world. You know besides each other!" Tia suggested
"Fine but I'm not doing all of it by myself" I said
"Ok" all the girls said
"Shut the door, turn the lights off

Before I leave you today"I sang. I couldn't believe it. It felt amazing to sing again, I loved it.
"Damn you! You haven't sung for 6 months and you still sound amazing" Steph exclaimed
"Thanks"mumble
"Come on you make your own choices now, not your parents. And plus with a voice like that, it's unfair not to sing"Leah added
"I think someone's jealous!"Tia squealed. We all started laughing.
"Your damn right I'm jealous!"Leah said.
"Well what song should we sing?"I asked
"Um well we have to play to our advantage. Sky you can mimic yeah?"Leah asked
"Ummm what exactly do you mean by 'mimic’”I asked
"Like you can put on a different voice when you want to sing."Tia explained
"Oh yeah. I can" I said
"Well first, is that a yes?"amber asked. All the girls looked at me. I bit my lip, a bad habit of mine.
"....Yes"I said all the girls cheered
"Let's test out our secret weapon then!" Amber suggested
"Ok what about 'Broken Hearted' by Karmin?" Steph suggested
"Perfect ok Sky I want you to sing the second verse right before the first chorus. Got it?" Leah said
"Yep"
Tia started off with the first verse. Then Amber joined in. Then it was my shot.. I took in a deep breath and started singing I channeled my voice. We went thought the whole song.
"Wow that was great. Sky you totally smashed that, great job!" Tia said
"Thanks” I said proudly
"that's un-human" Amber said
"I've never heard anyone do that before."Leah said
"So it's agreed then...." Amber said. Steph looked at Leah and they both put their hands in. Amber let out a laugh and adds her hand to the pile. Tia added her and looked up at me.
"It's completely your choice, we'll just think your crazy if you don't and we don't really have anything to lose." Tia told me
"Oh what the heck"I exclaimed adding my hand to the pile. All the girls cheered.
"Now we must practice!" Steph yelled
"But what song will we do?" Tia asked
"Well like I said we play to our advantage, so I think we do either 'broken hearted' or 'primaddona'"Leah said
"Well what are we waiting for!"I yelled
