Sodapop's POV:

We all got to Steve but we suddenly screamed at Two-Bit and with one hit he knocked him out, he was going to continue but I stopped him. "STEVE! HE WAS DRUNK MAN!" Dallas yelled.

I looked at Dallas and punched him. "SINCE WHEN DO YOU CARE!?" I yelled, my blood boiling. I have never been this mad before, but when Dallas said he didn't care that Rose died I lost it.

"SINCE TWO-BIT ISN'T A SLUTTY BITCH!" Dallas yelled and I tackled him and started swinging again.

I felt Darry grabbed me and rip me off of him. "FIGHTIN' AIN'T GONNA SOLVE ANYTHING!" Johnny suddenly screamed. "S-s-sorry guys...I-I didn't mean t-t-to yell..." He apologized, thinking we might hit him for yelling like his folks would do.

"No, don't apologize Johnnycakes. We needed that." I smiled and wrapped my arm around his shoulders. Ponyboy gave me a weird look. "I'm not gay, Pony." I said in a low voice so no one but the gang heard.

"I-I know..." Pony said and awkwardly walked over to the nurses desk. After they talked, Ponyboy walked back over to us and told us the room number. We all scrambled to get there and Darry and I had to wake up Two-Bit and help him up.

We walked in a luckily Rose was awake and smiled when she saw us. "Rose!" Steve said and sat next to her. "You scared the shit out of me kid!" He said.

"Next time I'll listen to you two." Rose said, looking at Steve and I. She looked over at Two-Bit and sighed. "He really didn't mean it, he was drunk."

"But-"

"No buts, Steve. He called 911 and talked me through the pain, he was almost untouched. Not that you can see it now because Steve beat the shit out of him." Rose interrupted Steve.

Steve looked down, while Rose looked at me and smiled. Soon, she looked at Dallas and laughed. "Who beat you?" She asked.

"Soda." Dallas answered blankly. Rose's eyes widened and looked at me.

I thought she was going to yell at me, until she spoke. "You're awesome! I've wanted to do that since day one!"

"Oh, shut it man!" Dallas said and wiped off the blood coming from his lip.

"Rose, I'm really glad you're ok." I smiled at Rose.

Rose, I love you but you can't see it! I wish you loved me back and I wish I could just kiss you! I love you and not just as a sister. I thought.

"W-What?" Rose asked, I looked up and everyone was looking at me.

"I-I'm glad you're ok." I said, slightly worried.

"Sodapop...you did that thing where you...um....yeah..." Ponyboy said and I almost died right there.

I spoke my thoughts...
