Ariana's POV:
I woke up to the sound of Aubrey, puking in the bathroom. Of course, she drank way too much last night."Good morning sunshine" I laugh huskily, walking into the room and rubbing her back sympathetically as she smiled back. "Worst decision ever" she moans, slumping onto the floor.
"Don't you remember what you did? You had everyone in hysterics" I giggle as she grumbles around. "I don't think I want to know" she sighs, putting the shower on.
"I was thinking, you've met my friends, I'd love to meet yours" I say, making her choke on the air "you think I have reliable friends? The only friends I have are the ones who pretend to know me now that I'm your girlfriend" she laughs, which quickly turns into a disappointed look on her face.
"Hey that's not true, I'd love to meet your family" I smile, tracing my fingers through her hair. "You would?" She says, sounding surprised. "Aub, I'm your girlfriend, of course" I reassure her, as she begins to blush.
"What's up?" I say, as she falls silent. She doesn't reply. "They know we are dating right?" I ask as her eyes fall to the ground. "Yeah. I mean I think they do. It's just, they've never seen me with a girl, let alone a celebrity girlfriend. I don't know how well they will take it" She stutters, as concern fills my eyes.
"There's only one way to find out right?" I laugh as she shrugs "I guess so" she says, running her hands through her hair. "They live about a couple hours drive from here. I'll let them know we'll stop be stopping by" she says, getting into the shower.
Before I knew it, Aubrey was on the wheel and we were driving along the coast. I studied her as her hands clenched hold of the wheel tighter than usual, her eyes looking in the rear view mirror. "Everything ok babe?" I say, looking up from my phone.
"Apart from the fact we are visiting my parents and that there are three cars following us, perfect" she sarcastically noted as I looked behind us to see, as usual, the paparazzi chasing us down.
"Hold on" she yells as she spins the wheel down a quieter road, loosing the paparazzi as it's too late for them to turn back.
"Here we are" She says, looking at the rather large house in front of us. We both walked up to the door and Aubrey knocked on it as we waited patiently. A boy, who looked around 11 open the door and froze in his tracks. "Ariana Grande" he gasped, making me chuckle.
"Ari, this is my brother Drew" Aubrey says, pushing him out the way as we welcome ourselves in, while he stands in the doorway staring at me in awe. "Hi babe" I smile, walking past him as she blushes.
"Mom Ariana Grande is here!" He yells as footsteps come from the kitchen. "Who?" A feminine voice shouts followed by the appearance of what I guessed was Aubrey's mom. They looked so similar.
"Aubrey!" She smiles, pulling her into a hug. "Mom, this is my-" just as she begins her dad walks in, a rather tall man wearing a business suit "Mom, Dad. This is Ariana, my girlfriend" she says, as I squeeze her hand and smile at her.
They don't say anything for a second, I'm not sure if it's because they recognise who I am, or are thinking about Aubrey calling me her girlfriend.
"How did you get so lucky?" Aubrey's mom says, breaking the silence. I could feel the weight lifting off Aubrey's shoulders as I felt her mom tug me into a hug. "It's lovely to meet you Mrs Moretzo" I laugh as we both pull away.
"Please, call me Mom" she says, as I watch Aubrey's smile grow. "I need to know how you to met" Mr Moretzo chuckles. "Well you are just in time for dinner, come tell everything" mom squeals as we sit down at the dinner table.
"So your job at Starbucks led you two to meet?" Her dad says after we start talking "I guess so" Aubrey laughs as we finish off our meal. "Since then I quit my job, and became Ari's personal assistant so travel would be easier" Aubrey's says, as I finish off my food. "Personal assistant" her dad says, making Drew laugh.
"Oh my god" Aubrey says rolling her eyes, "Thanks for the dinner guys, but we better be heading home, it's getting late" Aubrey says, standing up.
"We were going to go watch the sunset at the beach if you wanted to join us?" Mom says, making us both smile. "We would love to!" I say, making Aubrey throw me a look as I smile innocently back.
"I'll drive, get in" Aubrey says as they walk out to my car. "Woah, a Range Rover" Drew gasps as we all laugh and begin to drive. "Who would have thought our little girl would be dating a celebrity" I hear Aubrey's mom mumble to her dad in the back.
"This is why I didn't want to come" Aubrey mutters to me making me laugh as we pull up to the beach. We were just in time as the orange sun reflected onto the waves, peaking over the horizon.
We all sat on the beach together. Soaking up the last of the warmth as I hugged into Aubrey, letting her body wrap around me. This was perfect. It felt like, for a moment, I wasn't famous, I was part of a real family.
The sunset and it began to get cold, we sat and chatted away as the crickets began chirping, and watched Drew run around the beach before heading up to the car.
"Ariana, wait up a second" Aubrey's dad said as everyone else headed to the car. "Everything ok Mr Moretzo?" I smile, walking towards him. "Call me dad" he says, as I nod in reply.
"I've never seen Aubrey so happy, her true colours really show around you" he says, making me grin "You seem to mean a lot to her" he says making me laugh.
"She means the world to me, she's an incredible girl" I say, as we both watch Aubrey run after Drew "Look after her out there Ari" he says, placing his hand on my shoulder before walking up to the car.
"Of course" I smile, waiting behind as I clench my fists together. "Um actually, Mr Moretzo, dad, there's something I wanted to ask you" I say as he turns around.
"Sure, anything" he says.
"With you're blessing, I want to marry your daughter"
