Jill feels a light nudge on her arm and it's enough to bring her senses on high alert.
She quickly opens her eyes but takes a deep breath when she realize it's Chris waking her, she's surprised she fell asleep.
She stretches a bit and look out through the helicopter window, the city is bright and busy with life.. her comrades won't see it again.
She swallows down what feels like a lump in her throat and suddenly feels Chris's hand on hers, she must have made a face because he looks at her concerned.
She glance over to Brad and even though she's sure he's not a traitor she wants to hear a very good reason and explanation for leaving them behind.
Brad lands the helicopter professionally on the helipad of the police station and the first person to make a move to leave is Barry, he opens the side door and jumps out, he waves his hand towards Rebecca and then helps her down on the ground.
Jill stands up but shows no intention on leaving the vehicle.
"You guys move on ahead."
The two gives a tired nod and leaves Jill and Chris behind to get inside a building that will never feel the same again.

She glances at Chris standing behind her but ignores him for now, she walks over to the co pilot seat and sits down staring intensely at Brad.
"I, I'm so sorry I left."
She expected him to start with an apology it's his characteristics however she wants an explanation.
"Brad, what happened?"
She sounds agitated but tries really hard to stay civil.
Brad looks at her with big eyes, the innocence in them almost makes her jealous, after what she has seen nothing will ever be the same again.
"Wesker.."
The mention of their traitorous captain stings.
"I'm so sorry Jill, he threatened with Barry's life, I didn't know what to do he even punched me, I got scared.
I was angry at myself for leaving but I dared staying around and I had radio contact with Richard but he suddenly stopped responding so I tried looking for any kind of signals."

Brad is slumped over and looks like the worlds weight is crushing him down, she can't hide that she both pity and resent him for not being stronger, but he did save their lives and he only followed Wesker out of fear.
"Thank you for getting us out of there Brad, you have no idea what we've been through, you got off easy."
She can't help staring him down.
"When we report everything you will testify what happened to you."
Brad nods his head without hesitation probably scared of what she'll do if he doesn't comply.
She gets up from the seat and gives Chris a look before exiting the helicopter, the two men follow behind her and she takes a deep breath when she pushes the door open to the stair case.

***A few minutes later***

Jill stares at the statue in the Main Hall, the statue, hell the entire police station is a reminder of the Spencer Mansion.
She suddenly feels dreadful and starts looking around anxiously, they blew the mansion up but how can they be sure they prevented the virus from spreading.
A hand on her shoulder makes her jump and she aims her gun immediately, all sound in the main hall dies down and she suddenly feels all eyes on her.
"Easy.. I recognize that look anywhere what the hell happened out there?"
She lowers her gun and stares at Lieutenant Marvin in horror, she had just aimed her weapon at a colleague.
"I.. I am so sorry I.."
Jill stutter her words she can't believe what she's done, this isn't like her she never lose her cool.
She feels a familiar presence next to her and looks at Chris with pleading eyes.
"We need to speak with Chief Irons, it's urgent and on behalf of my partner I apologize but we've just gone through hell and back I hope you can forgive our behavior."
Jill feels defeated and probably look like a child ready for a scolding.
She feels Marvin's gaze on her and she wants to hide, hide from the world just this once.
"I understand."
Marvin sounds serious but also sympathetic.
Chris grabs her sore elbow and she tries to hide the grimace however he reads her too easily and immediately lets go and looks at her apologetically.
"Please excuse us Lieutenant and thank you I owe you one."
Marvin gives a tense nod, he can definitely read that something is off.
