I instantly go into panic mode, kicking a screaming until I realize that these aren't the limbs of a zombie. They're warm and the skin of zombies are cold to the touch. "Calm down Liz." The voice of Gray calms me down but he doesn't let go so I do the only think I can think of. I bit down on his finger which makes him released me. "What the hell?" His voice is raised but not enough to be classified as a yell.
"What the heck are you doing here Gray and why did you do that you scared the living shit out of me!" I snap at him.
"You've been out here for hours Liz. We were getting worried."
"Well I'm fine you don't need to worry." I huff
He looks me over. "You don't look like you're fine, you look like you've been crying."
I bite the inside of my cheek to stop myself from crying again the last thing I need to do is show weakness. But it doesn't work. Slowly the tears trickle down until there is a full out stream. He slowly advances until his arms wrap around me. "What happen?"
I cry into his shirt. "I had to kill a baby Gray. It didn't deserve that. None of these poor people deserve it."
He strokes my hair which kinda takes me by surprise but I let him do it. It actually feels kinda nice to have someone comfort you. I don't know how long we stand there for but he eventually pulls away and wipes the tears from my cheek with his thumb. I swear he actually smiles "Come on let's head back Amanda is working on the fence. She could use the help."
I nod and then smile. "Want to race?"
"Ready to loose?" He smirks.
"Nope." I turn around and start to run as fast as I can. This is the first time I've run with my fake foot do I'm a little worried but so far so good.
"Hey! I wasn't ready! You cheated!" I hear Gray yell which makes me laugh but I keep on running. I can see the house in the distance and Amanda nailing something to the fence. This gives me the motivation to run even faster. I quickly glance over my shoulder to see Gray not that far behind me.
I'm only a few meters away the fence before I do trip over something and land on my stomach. I watch as Gray runs past me and jumps over the
fence. "Ha I win in your face!"
I slowly get up and also jump over the fence and punch him in the a playfully. "Shut up."
"If you lovebirds are done I could use some help." This makes me blush so I look down hoping Gray doesn't see.
"Sure what do you need?" He asks. Thank god he didn't notice.
"I need some more nails I need you two to get me some." Sometimes I feel like Amanda is the boss of things.
"You ready for this?" I ask Gray.
"I'm a little hungover but in fine."
I nod. "Lets go then."
"You two have fun." Amanda winks at me, which Gray once again didn't notice before we walk into the house to gather supplies.
