Just like Gray said the walk wasn't that long. Eventually we got to the Home Depot it was a pretty tall building and it looks like the zombie apocalypse never happened, it's in that good condition.

Gray and I look at each other at the same time. "You ready?" He asks and I nod and we both walk up to the entrance and push the glass doors open.

I walk farther into the store ready to strike with my rake but if I need to fire with my crossbow.

In a matter of seconds Gray is standing by my side. I look around the store mostly checking for zombies but also taking in the appearance. The steal shelves go up to the ceiling and they're stacked with a bunch of building materials and boxes. Note to self if we ever need building material come here.

"Do we split up or what?" He asks.

"No, if we split up one of us might get hurt." He nods in agreement and we start to walk down the aisles.

The ground is scattered with the bodies of poor people who were turned. It looks like the blows to the head are fresh. "Someone is in here." I say to Gray and he raises an eyebrow.

"How do you know?"

I kneel down beside the zombified body of a woman an he does the same. I point to the pools of blood beside her head. "The blood is still fresh.

"It doesn't mean they're still here."

I stand up straight he's right. We walk a few more meters until Gray's hand lands on my chest and pushes me to the ground causing me to drop the rake. Just as I'm about to yell at him one of the boxes land in front of us. The loud crashing noise that makes both of us flinch. My ears are still ringing when I get up and give Gray a hug. "Thank you Gray you saved my life."

"Don't mention it you would have done the same thing." I notice the that he's not looking at me but rather up at the place the box fell from. I follow his gaze and I swear I see a pair of eyes rimmed with glasses. I turn to Gray. "You saw that right? I'm not going crazy right?"

He chuckles and there's a smile on his face. "Hey Joe get down here it's Gray!" He calls up to the mysterious person.

"How do you know it's who you think ? How do you know he won't kill us?" I look up to the place and the eyes are gone.

"I don't." Gray says flatly.

"Then we should get ou-" I am interrupted by the noise of metal rattling from behind the shelf. I quickly point my crossbow at the noise. I quickly glance at Gray before looking back to where the noise came from.

A guy come jumping on one foot holding his toe comes out from behind the shelf. I hear him mutter something to himself. "Who are you!" He looks at me and puts his head up in surrender.

That's when I get a better look at his appearance. His brown hair is spiked at the front and he's wearing a black beanie. His greenish blue eyes are rimmed with glasses, just like I saw before. A gray hoodie and ripped jeans lay on top of he tall and muscular frame. On his belt I can see two hatchets, a sword and a walking talkie. "My name is Jonah and I'm Grays friend."

(A/N: sorry for the long wait. I hope the long chapter makes up for it!)
