Laurence's POV

I stood in a short line of people to get my iced coffee. Tonight was like a talent show where different people come to do different acts. I usually come with my friends but since they couldn't make it I brought along my older sister, Cadenza.

Which I now suddenly regret since she's always trying to set me up with guys who are strangers, ever since she found out that I was gay. I swipe my iced coffee of the pick-up counter and jog over to Cadenza who was taking slow sips out of her tea. A middle-aged man stepped on stage and took the microphone.

3rd person POV

"How is everyone doing tonight!" Loud cheers spread throughout the room, Laurence wincing at the sudden noise. "I'd like to welcome our performers! Come on out!" A line of people crossed the stage, there were women with bright make-up and clowns.

But the only person Laurence noticed, was a nervous blonde male with his hands behind his back and head tilted down. The latino stared at the gorgeous man with fascination twinkling in his eyes.

The contestants were shooed off the stage so that the announcer could bring them on stage one-by-one for their performance. Laurence felt a twinge of disappointment as the mysterious man walked off stage without a word.

<Time Skip>

Contestants came and went, some juggling, some singing, and some doing silly dances. "Lastly, Garroth Ro'meave!" A bunch of cheers came from the crowd. Garroth nervously walked onto the stage from behind the small red curtain and spotted Laurence staring at him.

Garroth's POV

The guitar on my back felt heavy as I played with my hands. I looked over the medium sized group of grown-ups and suddenly felt very judged as everyone stared at me. I cleared my throat walking up to the microphone.

"U-um, Hi, I'm Garroth or Gar for short," I laughed nervously, a few people in the crowd giggled. "Today I'm going to be playing a song named 'Galway Girl' on my guitar," I smiled and headed to the stool that was sat in the middle of the stage.

3rd POV

Garroth once again cleared his throat and started playing.

"She played the fiddle in an Irish band,"

His voice was strong and powerful, many swaying along.

"But she fell in love with an English man,"

By then people were already getting their phones out to record.

"Kissed her on the neck and then I took her by the hand. Said, "Baby, I just wanna dance,"

Laurence started singing along, familiar with the song. He couldn't help the image getting in his head, about him and Garroth, little did he know, Garroth was thinking the same thing.

<Song Finished>('cause I'm lazy.)

Everyone clapped and whistled as loud as they could, bystanders outside were startled by the sudden commotion. Garroth bowed and walked off stage. Now, adults in the coffee shop were leaving as well as everyone else.

Laurence sighed, heading towards the curtain, "You only got one life, Laurence," He whispered to himself. Laurence's head perked up, he saw a mop of blonde waves packing up his guitar getting ready to head home.

"Uh, Excuse me!" Garroth spun around eyes widening at the surprise of someone coming to talk to him. "Hello," Garroth grinned, Laurence had his arms behind his back and softly spoke. "I thought you were really good, and I was wondering if you could give me lessons, for guitar."

"Absolutely," Laurence straightened his posture and said, "O-okay, I live at 14 Phoenix Drive," Can you come on Sundays?" Garroth nodded his head.

"G-great! See you then?" Garroth held back a laugh at the embarrassed 20-year-old and nodded once again. Laurence started to walk away before, "Wait! What's your name?" Laurence stopped in his path and looked behind his shoulder.

"Laurence."

"Cute, I mean uh not cute?! No, it is cute, it's just, ya know?!" Garroth hid his face in his hand and whispered: "Get yourself together."

Garroth took a deep breath and said slowly, "See you then." The brown-haired male giggled and left the coffee shop. "Oh my god, he so cute."
