The Paths Taken

Savrasha and Kira walked their way back to House Organa, ready to return to their ship and update General Var Suthra on the Death Mark's fate and Master Orgus' death. The two Jedi were both shaken by the visual of the old Master's execution and had barely talked about it.

Once they had almost reached the Organa palace, Savrasha stopped and closed her eyes, sensing something through the Force.

Kira was confused by her Master's sudden reaction and asked her: "Sav? Is something wrong?"

Savrasha took a moment before saying: "Someone is leaving the palace. Someone affiliated with neither the Organas nor the Republic..."

"How do you know?" Kira asked

"I sense his presence. It's a presence I have never sensed before and yet...it is...familiar..."

The two remained in silence for a while, one trying to identify this "presence" and the other staring at her Master.

After that, Savrasha reopened her eyes and told Kira: "You go ahead. Update the General on what happened."

"What are you gonna do?" Kira asked

"Investigating on this. I think it's something I must do alone." Savrasha replied before putting her hood on and going back into the grasslands.

Deeper into the Wilds

Tarutio and Mako were on their way back to House Girard. Gault was ahead of them with a speeder and the frozen-in-carbonite body of the Durasteel Duke.

While walking, however, Tarutio suddenly felt some kind of headache. A headache he had already felt on the ship when they landed.

Mako noticed something was not right with him and so asked: "Hey, big guy you're ok?"

"Sorry" he replied "It's just...remember when we were doing that job on Dromund Kaas with Deimhos?"

"Yup."

"Ever since that "trial of death" for the Revanites, I've been trying to understand how the Force works. Back on the ship, when you briefed me on the local civil war and I was distracted it was actually because I had a sudden headache that passed in a moment. And right now, I've had another. And these headaches were strange. I don't know for sure, but something tells me they're Force-releated somehow."

Mako was a bit confused by the news: "So...what do you think it is?"

"I...don't know. It's like....like something is approaching us. Something...familiar."

The two remained silent for a moment, not knowing what to do.

"Well, do you think it's friendly or hostile?" Mako tried to ask

"I have no idea." Tarutio replied "But I think sooner or later it will reach us. Let's wait here for now, but keep your blaster ready if it turns out to be bad."

Mako nodded at that.

They waited for about half an hour, before anything actually happened.

At that moment, Tarutio drew out one of his pistols and started looking around. Mako also heard him whisper: "Jedi..."

Right after that, Tarutio pointed the gun to a tree and shouted out: "I know you're there, lady. Come out of hiding."

As if to obey him, a Jedi Knight, dressed with a hooded robe and carrying two lightsabers, came from behind the tree and started approaching them.

Once she was only a few steps from them, Tarutio said: "No further." and the Jedi stopped.

Tarutio then asked, without lowering his weapon: "Who are you and what do you want from us?"
