You cry.
You smile.
You laugh.
You frown.
You're a complex of emotions no one could understand
A sand that slips away as easy as the wind
Yet,
I could see the way you are
I could tell what's real from reel
Because we both know the truth.
You cry yet, you maintain that smile to keep all your tears at bay.
You laugh so hard when you're hurt, to pose that you're fine.
A frown mars you face when you don't want to believe of the love that found you.
Most of it all,
You lied to me when you say you don't feel the same.
Your lips lied when your eyes told me all.
And still, I understood.

-----

"I love you."

You stood there, mouth ajar and eyes wide as they stared at me. Then you laugh, laugh so hard tears start to fill your eyes.

"Lies." you said, teeth gritting.

"I love you." I repeated.

You stare and stare and I did the same, trying to convey it to you from my eyes. The words I want you to understand.

"I don't want to hurt you."

You told me before you walk away, stiff and fast, like you're running away. But I saw right before you turn around. I realize what transpired. I saw right through it.

"You're afraid." a whisper leave my lips, hoping to reach to you. "but I love you still."

The eyes speak of the lies you said, of what you want me to believe in, of the things you want to accept but afraid to embrace. They told me of the fear and happiness you felt with that confession.

And I understand.

I keep on understanding.

Until this very day, I try to understand...

Try to find where I made the mistake, where was the truth and lies in you. Questions keep on infiltrating my head, questions I had for you.

Was what I read all a lie?
