School AU
Valentine's Day is just around the corner. Students start thinking of their gifts to give and what to do for their Valentine. Of course, not everyone's mind is fixed on exactly love this month.
"Misty, Misty," Iris yells out to her best friend running up behind her. Misty turns around and smiles. "Goodmorning Iri- AHH!" Iris pounces onto her taller friend as she embraces her. "Goodmorning to you too Misty." She lets out an adoring laugh as she separates herself from her.
"You finished your homework," Misty asks as she picks up her books that were dropped. Iris lets out a half-heart laugh as she rubs her back head.
"Not all of it actually." Misty makes a face at Iris as she averts her eyes shamefully, already awaiting her next words.
"You better than this Iris. You're so smart, but you don't put that intelligence into your work."
"I know, I know! I'm just always so tired."
"You mean lazy," Misty questioned. Iris quickly turns her head at Misty with a frown on her face.
"Be quiet!" Misty only smiles softly at her.
They walk to their lockers as their other best friends, May and Dawn, approach them. May lets out a tired yawn which alerts the two girls, making them turn around.
"Hey Misty, Iris," Dawn says happily.
"Morning," May mutters after with a smile. Misty and Iris smiles and greets them back. Before they can get into a deep conversation the bell rings.
"Welp, gotta blast," Iris quickly says and waves her hand before speeding down the hallway through students. The other girls let out a giggle as they watch her leave.
"Well that's my cue too. It's too bad we're not all in the same class," May says as she starts to walk to class. Misty and Dawn nods as they walk together to their separate classes.
"Well see ya later." The pair waved at the brunette as she walks beyond the doors of her class. They both then enter their classes as well.
Five minutes was spent in the class before it was interrupted by an announcement from School Council.
"We are now having Valentine Day sales from lovable gifts to acts of serenading. If you wish to place an order or request, check with members of School Council. Thank-you."
The volume of the classes slowly starts to increase as people start to conversate about the upcoming Holiday. They are soon hushed down by their teachers to continue on with class.
"Valentine's Day is trash anyways," Iris mutters laying her head on her hand with a bored expression. Misty chuckles at the sight of her friend.
"Of course you do," she then whispers back with a small smile.

"You heard the announcement from school council earlier," Dawn brings up before she takes a bite from her lunch bowl.
"Well yeah, with the sales and stuff," May then answers with a bit of food in her mouth. Dawn nods.
"Well I'm interested in soon watching this Valentine Day unfold. The gifts being given, the serenading, lovers expressing their love. Hopefully I get something too." Dawn rambles as she gets swept into a world of her own.
"From Paul?" Iris replies with a smug smirk as she leans towards Dawn.
"Yeah..." Dawn immediately freezes and turns her head to Iris. Iris just stares back with the same smug face. Misty and May start to giggle at the scene.
