Pearla—
You're witty, maybe too witty. Your arguments are filled with bite, but you look oh so beautiful. Like an incredibly dangerous viper or a Venus flytrap. My poison.

I wrote down various answers as I racked my brain during study hour in the library with Sunny Baudelaire. I wrote down her answer as well, which made me laugh and think, "Sunny Baudelaire, have I ever told you that you may be the smartest person in this entire school?"
We laughed together as if we were old friends, but that soon ceased when a voice startled us, "yeah, well that's Sunny for you."
"Ah!" I quickly covered my mouth.
I liked behind me to see the other Baudelaire siblings, "Klaus, what kind f person sneaks up on someone like that?" I breathed as they chuckled.
"A volunteer!" Sunny answered, this made the laughing stop and Miss Caliban drop the books she was checking back in behind her desk.
"Volunteer?" I asked for elaboration, I've heard that term a lot lately in my book, which is probably why it tugged on my ear so hard. It may just be a coincidence as well.
Violet was the only one to step forward and elaborate, "What my sister means is," she paused to take a gulp, "a volunteer with the school, yeah. We help Olivia out here, in the library."
I shook my head and dismissed the mishap, it it was something a little difficult explaining I wouldn't push them to explain, none of my business. They looked at one another sadly, making me change the subject, "hm. Alright, but that still doesn't answer my question."
They both sat down quietly, them on one side, Sunny and I on the other. "What question might that be?" Klaus asked, he's been gone lately, I missed my fellow four-eyed dork. He disconnected on this planet after all.
"It's homework for Mister Kong's class, morbid psychology, the question is," I held my paper up so I could push my glasses off of my head and in front of my eyes, "There is a button that can kill an entire state, and one person is about to be forced to push it, would you kill the one person to save the state or the state to save the one person?" I could see them both racking there brains about it.
Klaus was the first to come up with a conclusion, "one person, a whole state of people is too much to loose."
Violet went the other direction, "a whole state cause I wouldn't have killed them directly."
Sunny simply answered, "everyone." Somehow her answer makes complete sense to me. There was also the route of killing yourself in exchange for the others, I would do that, except...I think I have a better idea.
"Hmmm, I got it, thank you Baudelaires for your moral dilemmas." I said gathering my things. Whilst I was doing so I could see Miss Caliban looking at us with a beautiful smile.
That's when hell on tap shoes barge in, "oh Baudelaires!" She yelled...in the library, "Principle Nero has a bone to pick with you all...literally."
"What do you mean by that?" Klaus asked. Literally picking bones? Sounds like a morgue instead of high school, but if you think they're almost the same.
"You'll see, it's punishment for being late and missing late night rehearsals. Amongst other...extracurricular things." She said before strutting away. What a-
"I guess we have to go as well." Violet said as she leaned over the table to pick up Sunny and put her on the floor, "see you later, Desa." Klaus said.
