Pearla------

Ira and Pearla go together just as the others do, why won't you allow me to be apart of you?

----------Ira

"So, what is it that we do as volunteers?" I asked as we sat near one another the following day at lunch. I sat between Quigley and Sunny as Violet sat at the top of the table, next to her and opposite us were Duncan, Isadora, and Klaus. They shushed me quickly as heads turned, I took note of that as not many people pay attention to us any other day. It's a coincidence that my voice is interesting right after I became a volunteer?

"First, you're not a volunteer yet. We need to see you in some action." Quigley said teasingly, I shoved him away briefly before looking to Isadora. " Well, he's almost right. That brings us to our next topic on our agenda. Getting the hell out of here."

"We want to leave, why, I mean, I can see why, but, why?" My parents will kill me if they happen to check up on me and find me dead. They looked to one another before looking around us. " Not safe here." Sunny said simply. This is how we got here, in Olivia's library.

"You told her." was all that she could say as she saw all of us walk in. You could see the happiness that painted her face, but the rushed winds still wrapped the atmosphere. "More like she told us, but yes." Isadora started.

"We have it, now it's time to go." Duncan continued. I tilted my head as they spoke, no one was telling me anything, but I figured it was because we are apparently out of time and need to communicate quickly. "Not yet, it looks too suspicious and too easy, there must be something else we have to do here." Klaus wondered aloud.

"We need that pendant, it must be important or else she wouldn't wear it." I thought, a little quieter than the group. Violet came behind me to speak next, "We leave 2 days from now, we get the pendant and start from there."

"Start what?" Sunny asked from her place standing on the desk. "Our collection." I said, a smile growing. "One member of whatever stupid little gang they have going will lead to the next, and somewhere is the boss." I explained.

"Olaf, we take him down." Olivia says, walking down the aisle of book cases. We follow her until she leads us to a huge globe on a stand and flips it in half to reveal a red glowing button. "Then we meet here."

"Awesome..." I murmured.

After a few hours of talking and planning we all went back into our rooms. First we dropped off the Baudelaires, then the Quagmires, all except Quigley. "Don't wait up, I'm going to Desa's room so that jerk doesn't come back." Quigley dismissed his other siblings as we continued walking towards my room.

"Thank you, Quigleforth, but you don't have to do this. I'm a big girl, I can kick ass by myself. I didn't the first time because if this school would call my parents, I'd never see daylight again." I chuckled at the thought, they would take shifts like guards. Can you be kidnapped in your own house by your own parents?

"I know, I just really don't like him, it feels like we've haven't talked to alone in ages. I've been having this constant feeling of deja vu since I met you, like I'm supposed to be finishing something." He thought aloud as we reached my room. I opened the door to find my bed a little unmade, besides that it's pretty clean.

"I feel as if none of this is real, I mean, I knew something diabolical was happening in this school, I just thought it would be mind control, brain washing, I don't know." I shook my head as I sat on the bed to take my shoes off.

"Do you think this is something you want, to be a volunteer?" He asked sitting next to me, I could feel his eyes boar into the side of my head as I looked at my hands.

"About what you said about the deja vu...it's been happening to me as well. Yet, I don't know why, if my parents were volunteers, wouldn't they have died in the same set of fires that killed your parents? I mean, not to say I want that, but it doesn't add up. This Olaf thing is confusing too, after all this time...I mean Count Olaf and Kit snicker died, plus, where have the Baudelaires put Beatrice for the time being? I'm glad I'm not in the dark but this flashlight is giving me little to nothing." I huffed as I laid down on my bed, closest to the wall. Quigley after me , his jacket and shoes off, pulling the covers over both of us—fully clothed, don't get any ideas.

"I promise, it'll make sense soon, to all of us. Apart of being a volunteer is enjoying the darkness before the fire and relaxing once the embers have burned their stories after." Quigley wrapped his arms around my torso and pulled me closer, my cheeks beating up in the process.

"Since when did you become the wise triplet?" I giggled but got no answer, I looked up to see the underneath of his eyelashes flittering shut. "Oop, good night." I told him in a sing-song voice.

I laid my head on his chest and listened to his heart until my eyes grew heavier, my mind was finally relaxing and my muscles were stone. I'm glad that time stops when Quigley and I are together, I wouldn't want to be a time traveler with anyone else. I think I've found my people, with there own ray of sunshine.

Howdy, here y'all go, I've finally got my life together somewhat, I don't know how often I'll updat these because I have a godson who I take care like my own little baby!! Anyways, welcome back, I hope we have fun together.
