WOOYOUNG
;

"you should really stop taking the back alleyways to get home. it's dangerous. especially with those gangs roaming around." yeosang said to his best friend.

wooyoung rolled his eyes, "you say that every wednesday and nothing's ever happened."

"yet," his friend muttered.

the two students just got finished with their internship at a local hospital. they were both studying to become doctors, and had to shadow a real one every wednesday. today, they learned how to properly check up on a patient with an open wound. they didn't learn how to do surgery, but they still had to bring the correct supplies.

"well, unlike you i don't have a gorgeous boyfriend who comes to pick me up in his bugatti." wooyoung replied.

a blush tainted yeosang's face at the mention of his significant other, "first of all he drives a mercedes-benz." the boys laughed as wooyoung pushed him lightly.

as if on cue, an expensive looking car pulls up on the curb the two boys were waiting. seonghwa, yeosang's boyfriend, rolls the window's down and waves at wooyoung. the boy shyly waves back and yeosang enters the car.

"wooyoung, why don't you let us take you home?" seonghwa suggested.

"maybe next time," he politely smiles as he shook his head.

"fine, let him get murdered by gang members in the alley." yeosang pouted. seonghwa stiffened at the mention of gangs, but chuckled at his boyfriend's immaturity.

"you're so childish" he replied.

yeosang glared at him, "shut up." he muttered as he buckled his seat belt and the two drove off.

wooyoung just smiled and made his way home. his route consisted of walking through seven consecutive alleyways that were crawling with bacteria and gang members, or as yeosang liked to call them, "dirty graffiti whores."

when he was walking down the second alley, he heard noises from afar. they were pretty loud, but he didn't know what it was; it sounded like someone was popping firecrackers. he heard the same noise two more times before he put two and two together.

as the man thought about the noises, his breath became shaky. was that sound what he thought it was? was it safe to keep walking? should he just call yeosang and tell him he changed his mind?

though he had a million different questions running through his head, he still decided to trudge forward. frankly, he was too tired to go back and decided that it'd just be easier to keep walking home.

wooyoung rounded the corner to his sixth alleyway and gasped slightly.

he saw a man, looking almost bored, holding a phone in one hand as he put pressure on his side. he occasionally groaned or muttered a curse under his breath.

the closer wooyoung walked the more he could tell that the man seemed to be bleeding. and that he was also probably playing a mobile game?

wooyoung slowly approached the man, trying to be quiet as to not startle him, but he was heard and the stranger swiftly pointed the gun to wooyoung's head in less than a second; abruptly taking his eyes off his device and putting it back into his pocket in what seemed like less than a second.

"who the fuck are you and who's your boss?" the stranger growled.

wooyoung gave him a look of confusion, "i'm unemployed? but if you're hiring-"

the stranger's glare deepened, "don't fucking joke with me, kid. i'll kill-" the man gasped in pain as he stopped his sentence. he closed his eyes and gripped his side.
