YEOSANG;

yeosang groggily got up and out of bed. he reached for his phone and when he checked it his heart nearly dropped.

he had a class at ten, and it was nine fifty.

it was usually a five minute walk (and a two minute run) from his apartment to the university. so, he grabbed the clothes left on his floor from a few days ago, and within two seconds was fully dressed, grabbing his things, and running out the door.

without breaking his sprint, he didn't look back as he continued racing to his morning lecture.

he was in such a rush he didn't even think about checking up on wooyoung until he burst through the classroom doors and settled into his seat to listen to his biochemistry teacher who had the most monotone voice.

as he entered class, he sat next to one of his friends, keonhee, and sighed heavily. keonhee turned to him.

"rough morning?" he asked, tapping his pen lightly on the desk.

yeosang chuckled, "tell my why i slept for over 18 hours and i'm still tired."

keonhee thought for a moment, "you might have myalgic encephalomyelitis, aka chronic fatigue syndrome, a composite disorder identified by a multitude of symptoms; the most prominent being sleepiness. or, you could have iron-deficiency anemia,  or fibromyalgia, or sickle cell anemia, or addison's disease, or even congestive heart failure-"

"keonhee, i'm pretty sure i'm just tired because i pulled three all-nighters this week; not because i have a rare illness like addison's disease."

"well, you asked," keonhee grumbled.

yeosang laughed and took out his notebook. he favored writing out the lectures as opposed to typing them on a computer.

••

after his hour long lecture, he decided to check-up on wooyoung by surprise-visiting his room.

he walked up to door not needing to knock because he had a copy of wooyoung's key. they'd given each other replicas of their apartment keys "just in case."

yeosang entered the room and was about to raid wooyoung's fridge when he was met with an eerie sound; silence.

wooyoung was never quiet when yeosang came over. he would always run up to hug his friend the second he entered the door, or at the very least yelled in acknowledgement. entering upon quietness was odd and concerning.

yeosang knew his friend didn't have any classes on friday, and wooyoung usually told him if he had other plans. the boy took out his phone and opened up his messages. wooyoung hadn't replied after yeosang told him he had already eaten yesterday night.

yeosang thought it was weird. wooyoung either always texted him back or checked up on him in person.

but, he decided to shrug off the feeling. wooyoung was a grown man, and surely he could take care of himself. with this in mind, yeosang decided to leave the apartment, and as he was going he got a call.

it was seonghwa.

that same subconscious smile appeared on his face. it was a smile that always made its way to yeosang's lips at the mere mention of something that reminded him of seonghwa.

he accepted the call and, almost immediately, seonghwa's velvety voice filled yeosang's ears.

"hey ba-" yeosang started.
