Basically this short oneshot is how I imagined Hirato and our relationship, because why not?

Kirua's POV

I was currently alone in a clearing near the outskirts of a local village where the second ship was investigating at with the assistance of the research team. Standing a meter away from the edge of a cliff, eyeing the vast sea with the waves crashing right underneath.

Hearing light footsteps behind me, it halts closely, and I could feel a pair of arms wrapping around my waist and a weight resting against my left shoulder.

"What are you doing here all by yourself," I stare down to the side in meeting dark violet irises with light blue circles around his pupils. "Kirua?"

"Hirato." I utter and he retracts from my shoulder, shifting me around to face him fully with his hands still placed on my waist.

"I missed you." Hirato stares into my onyx eyes with fondness before placing a tender kiss on my forehead to which my cheek naturally form into a smile, easing from his warmth.

It has been quite hectic lately. Working in the research tower and being Akari's aid with his research and medical work, fighting againts the Varugas with the investigation on Kafka still in progress.
Hirato was also busy with his load of work and being the second ship's captain to which we don't have enough time together.

"How have you been?" Hirato questioned that I respond rather timidly.

"I'm doing fine," I gave him a closed eyed smile. "And you?"

"I feel uneasy." Hirato admits and engulf me suddenly in an protective embrace, preventing me to see his expression. "The fact that you're not always beside me, made me think someone might take you way from me."

"Hirato." I shortly return his hug before slightly pulling apart from him, cupping his cheeks to see a tint of red showing that I couldn't help but smile.

"You're the only one for me." I said as I pull Hirato towards me and placing a short but passionate kiss. "And no one else." Seeing a genuine smile across his face made me stifle a laugh.

"I love you, truly and dearly." Hirato mouthed as he lean his forehead against mine to which my cheeks naturally forms into a happy smile.
