Chapter 18

She felt her chest tighten and her breathing began to quicken as she held the underwear in her hands.

Did Draco cheat? Whose panties are they? How did they end up in my bag? Is he sick of me? A million questions ran through her head  as she tried not to get too overwhelmed.

She took in a couple of deep breaths and shook her head.

'No Hermione! There must be a good explanation for this!' She said to herself as she closed her eyes.

'Ok... just ask him!' She said as she turned and left the bathroom back into the master bedroom to see Draco sitting on the bed reading what Hermione assumes was the OWL that arrived the other day.

'Draco are-'

'You need to read this!' Draco cut her off as he looked directly at her and she frowned. Still holding the underwear in her left hand she walked over to him and took the OWL out of his hand and began reading.

Dear Draco.
I hate to be writing to you like this but you needed to know. Pansy is trying to come between you and Hermione. Before she left your apartment and while you were out she dropped a pair of black lace underwear in Hermione's room to make it look like you were cheating on her.

I hope you haven't read this too late, we will catch up soon.

Hermione looked up at Draco who was looking at her like he was about to lose her. Lifting her hand with the underwear in them she held them between two fingers and waved them at him.

'I was just coming to ask you if you knew whose they were, now we know!' Hermione sighed as she tossed them on the bed along with the letter and walked over to him and into him as she wrapped her arms around his neck and he wrapped his arms around her lower waist, dropping his head onto her stomach as she stood between his legs.

'Did you think I cheated, honestly?' He asked in a half whisper as he gripped her tightly, the towel coming loose as it dropped down over his arms and revealing her naked breasts but still covering her lower half.

'Honestly... I think the ring gave me some comfort so... I wanted to ask you outright instead of just assuming but... yes the thought crossed my mind for a second, no more then that!' She replied as she began running her fingers through his hair, leaning her chin on the top of his head.

He pulled back and moved her slightly and closed his legs before pulling her to sit on top of him, letting the towel drop to the floor as she now sat bare naked on him, facing him. 'And would you have believed me if I said I wasn't?'

'Honestly Draco, I think I would have, yes,' she replied as Draco sighed before a genuine smile  crossed his lips.

He caressed her cheeks with his hands  before leaning in to capture her lips with his, for a quick moment before she pulled away and looked him in the eyes.

'I'd better get dressed, so we can go!' She smirked as Draco nodded and let her climb off him as she quickly reached into her bag to grab another pair of underwear and walking back into the bathroom.

He watched her close the door before his lips thinned into an angry line and his eyes darkened as he clenched his jaw.

'Pansy!' He hissed.

She closed the bathroom door and took a deep breath as she rested her back against the door and her hands on her belly and looked down.
