[Draco and Hermione] Catch Me When I Fall

~THIRTY ONE~

Hey guys, sooooooooo sorry I haven't updated in a while buuuuuuut.... I have good reason. See, things have been super busy for me. One relationship ended after 7 years of being stuffed around.

I started a new relationship and we moved in together and welll... in now 17 weeks pregnant as well... BIG YEAR!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

But hopefully now I'll be able to update more often. This may be a bit of a  short chapter but I promise there are exciting chapters ahead.

Chapter 31

As fast as christmas had come, New Years Eve had come and Draco had organised a special night out for him and Hermione who had decided to return to work as soon as Boxing Day was over. He had noticed that since her accident she was trying to keep herself busy and not think about the fact that she had lost the baby even if she wasn't that far along, the baby she and Draco had created.

She had also been helping Ginny with baby shopping as she had finally hit the half way mark at 20 weeks pregnant. Her pregnancy was seeming to be going really well, unlike Luna's who was now told she would be bed ridden until she gave birth. And being 28 weeks pregnant she was hating that the bed rest hadn't worked, having doctors and nurses visit her every few days to make sure her condition hadn't deteriorated.

Draco was sitting on the couch when Hermione walked through the front door, dropping her bag down on the ground beside her and kicking off her flats as she moved over to the couch and flopped down on the couch beside Draco, cuddling into him.

'Long day?' Draco asked as Hermione sighed and rubbed her temples as he wrapped one arm around her.

'Sometimes I wonder if I work with smart wizards and witches or those who just pretend to be smart!' She exclaimed with another sigh.

'Well let's not forget Granger, you are the smartest witch of our age' Draco replied as Hermione closed her eyes and leans closer into him.

'How about I go and run you a bath so you can have a soak before I take you out for dinner?' Draco asked as Hermione craned her head to look up at him and smiled with a nod.

'That would be lovely,' she said as she met him half way and gave him a quick peck on the lips.

Draco nodded and slid off the couch, removing himself from Hermione's grasp before disappearing down the hallway. Hermione grabbed the television remote which was sitting beside her on the couch and turned on the tv and began flicking through the channels. After searching and finding nothing on she switched it back off just as Draco came walking back down the hall.

'Bath is ready my sexy minx' he said with a smirk as Hermione grinned back at him before climbing up off the couch and gliding past him, but not before stopping and running he hand down to his crotch and squeezing gently a he looked at he and growled, watching as her grin grew even wider before walking past him and continuing down the hall toward her destination.

One Hour Later

She was bathed and dressed and ready to go wherever Draco was taking her for New Years Eve, wherever that was she didn't know as he wasn't telling her anything.

'Dracoooooo' she moaned and pouted her bottom lip to try and get Draco to tell her where they were going. Draco laughed and shook his head as he walked over to her and gave her a quick kiss on the lips.

'Sorry baby, not saying a word,' he grinned as Hermione moaned and slumped her shoulders in defeat and muttering a 'I hate surprises' just loud enough for Draco to hear her and laugh again.

'Okay babe, let's go before you lose your temper because you don't know where I'm taking you,'

He kept his hands over her eyes so she couldn't see where she was. All she knew was that she could hear music faintly and they were outdoors as Draco had told her to bring a jacket just in case it got too cold.

'Okay it's not fancy or anything but I thought you would like to spend New Years Eve not only with me, but also your friends.' He finished as he removed his hands from her eyes and she saw that not only were they outside, but there was a picnic blanket and chairs and a big projector which was playing music at the moment.

Sitting in four of the chairs were Ginny and Harry and Luna and Blaise, Hermione gasped and a smile spread across her face as she ran around the chairs and greeted each of her friends with a hug.

'Shouldn't you be home in bed?' She asked Luna with a raised eyebrow as Luna shook her head.

'It's alright Hermione, I got permission to come tonight provided I only get up to go to the bathroom,' she smiled warmly at Hermione who in return smiled back.

Just as Hermione and Draco sat down in their chairs the screen went black for a moment then came back on with the movie they would be watching for New Years Eve. Draco had never heard of the movie before and leant over to whisper to Hermione.

'Gra- baby, what's this about?'

Hermione smiled at him. 'It's Dirty Dancing, about a young girl that falls in love with a dancer while on holiday and has to get her family to come around about him. You will love it!' She finished.

Everyone was quiet throughout the movie and after a couple of hours the end credits began to roll as Hermione checked her wrist watch. 'Oh wow, only ten minutes until midnight!' She exclaimed jumping up from her chair and stretching her limbs before looking down at Draco who was grinning up at her.

'So, did you like the movie?' She questioned as Draco thought for a moment before finally nodding.

'Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.' He replied as Hermione sat down across his legs and wrapped her arms around him.

'This has been the best night, in a long time,'  she said as everyone nodded in agreement. It had been a massive year full of good times, but definitely wasn't without it's not so great times they had all encountered, some Hermione would have rather not had to deal with at all.

All of a sudden everyone around them started counting down. '10, 9, 8...'

'Hermione jumped up, as well as Draco while Blaise helped Luna up and Harry and Ginny stood while holding hands.

'7, 6, 5...'

Hermione linked her fingers through Draco's and they glanced at each other for a brief moment.

'4, 3, 2, 1... Happy New Year!'

Harry leant in and gave Ginny a gentle kiss as fireworks started going off into the air and exploding into different shapes and colours.

Blaise wrapped his arms around Luna's pregnant belly as she rested her head onto his chest as they both watched the fireworks.

'Happy new year Hermione, I love you,' Draco said as he cupped Hermione's cheeks with both hands and stared at her big brown wide eyes and watched a smile cross her lips.

'I love you Draco, more then I ever thought I could love someone!' She said as she reached up and wrapped her hands around his waist, pulling him into her.

'Now...' she said with a smile. 'Kiss me already,'
