(This is the princess's perspective.)

I wake up in pain. Not physical, but mental pain. I get up and look at myself in the mirror. I feel sick to my stomach. I run to the bathroom and vomit. I stand and look in the mirror. I look how I feel, sick. Jane knocks lightly on the door

My mother would throw a fit, my father would have a heart attack, and Dorian. Dorian would be livid. It's perfect. I slipped on the dress and look at myself in the mirror. I looked like a warrior. The Prince came to mind, and I felt my stomach swirl a little. When he talked to me, he talked to me like a human. Even more than a human, a princess, or better said, a queen. I fixed my makeup and hair. I was putting my shoes on when Jane knocked on the door.
"Your highness, you have a gift."
"Come in Jane." Jane enters the room and has the most shocked look on her face when she sees my dress. I giggle quietly at her reaction and continue putting my shoes on. "Who is it from Jane." She begins to stutter.
"Y-yes. It's from Prince Johnathan." I perk my head up at the mention of his name.
"What is it?" I try not to show my excitement.
"It's a necklace, and it's quite beautiful." I wave Jane over and she shows me the necklace. I gasp in surprise at the beauty of my necklace. I smile and carefully pick up the necklace.

I smile and carefully pick up the necklace

It's purple. I smile even brighter as I put it on.
"Did he say anything?" I look at Jane, although it's hard to focus on anything but the necklace.
"He said, "Remember that you are royalty." The color purple means royalty. I lightly chuckle at his cleaver word play and turn to Jane.
      "I'm ready to go."
