Alison's POV

I've always wanted an animal ever since I could remember, more specifically a cat.

I knew taking care of another living creature would be hard, I knew that. I knew that it would take some patients especially if they aren't trained yet. I knew that with school and all the stress with Harry and Aaron that things would be difficult and I thought I could handle it.

But there are some things that I didn't know...

I didn't know that having an animal would be so time consuming. I didn't know that Alvin would stay up for hours at night clawing at my door, making me get up and let him out of my room. I didn't know that he would pee in my shoes and clean clothes and even on my homework! I mean, it's a little kitty for crying out loud, not a dog! I've been trying to get Alvin to go potty in his liter box but no, he's so hell bent on going in my stuff or on my stuff. I used to think that people used the excuse my dog ate my homework was because they were too lazy to do it themselves but not in my case, my cat pees and poops on my homework.

I have so many scratches and bite marks from him that would take hours for me to count. I've had to buy a ton of different kinds of food because most of the food I buy, Alvin just won't eat it. He has no problem climbing on top of the table and eating my food, but when it comes to eating his, nope won't eat.

I've taken him to the vet tons of times but they can't find anything wrong with him, because nothing is wrong. He's a very stubborn cat sometimes. On top of everything, I found out my dad is allergic to cats. He's freaking allergic! I have to keep Alvin either in the basement or my room. Since Alvin sheds a lot, I have to keep vacuuming almost everyday. Make sure I get all his hair off of me before my dad gets home.

I always thought that my parents just didn't want to get an animal but nope, my dad is freaking allergic. It makes me think that I'm a bad kid because I didn't know my own father is allergic to animals!

I sigh, "I just don't get why you didn't tell me" I tell my stubborn father sitting across from me at the dinner table. I have been glaring at him for a while now but I'm really mad.

"I didn't think it was necessary," My father explains while shoving more spaghetti in his mouth, making a slurping sound to get the rest of the pasta in his mouth so it's not hanging out.

I laugh a little when I see he has sauce all over his cheeks and some on his nose, but quickly compose myself and roll my eyes before glaring at him again, "Did you not think that I would get an animal or something?"

He lets an exasperated sigh out, "Alison, it's okay. You can keep the cat just keep it away from me." I send once last glare his way before relaxing and finishing my dinner.

~~~~~~~
It's been almost a week since Aaron came over, asking me to forgive him. It's also been a week since Gemma came over resulting in Harry coming over and them having a sibling fight in my living room. I haven't talked to Harry or Aaron since, mainly because I'm avoiding them.
Aaron has been texting me non-stop, asking if we can go on another date soon but I've never replied. I just don't know if I like Aaron like that. I mean don't get me wrong, Aaron is nice, sweet and caring but I can't deny the attraction I feel towards Harry. We have a past together, a big one. It's inevitable that we end up together again, I know it. I don't want Aaron to think that he has a chance with me even though I only have my eyes on one guy, Harry.
Which reminds me, Eric has been texting me too. He's been wanting to meet up and get coffee or something and surprisingly, I agreed. Which brings me back to where I am now. I am currently sitting in my town's local coffee shop, called the coffee shop, waiting for Eric to come.
"Can I get a large Berry Almond Frappe?" I asked the worker at the front counter.
He nodded and typed my order into the cash register, "That's gonna be $4.82, please" I opened my wallet and grabbed my debit card and handed it to him. He swiped it and I did my signature before he gave my card back to me.
I sat down, waiting for Eric to get here and my coffee to get done. I heard the bell go off and turned in my seat and saw Eric walking up to the counter, ordering his coffee, paying then coming to sit down next to me.
"Hey," He smiled, sitting down across from me.
"Hi," I smiled back, locking my phone and putting it on the table.
He crossed his arms and sat back in his seat, "So, how's Alvin?"
I groaned and put my head in my hands before replying, "He's something alright." He let out a chuckle. "But the sad thing is that my dad is allergic to animals."
He mouthed an O, "Did you know he was allergic?" He asked, sitting back up once the worker came and gave us our coffees.
"Nope," I sighed. "He didn't think it was 'important enough" I rolled my eyes before taking a sip of my coffee, which ended up being a bad idea since it was really hot.
He chuckled at my pain before blowing on his and taking a sip once he thought it was cooled down enough. "Sorry then" He said after he swallowed.
My eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "For what?"
"Giving you the cat?" He shrugged. I waved my hand in dismissal, "Nah, s'cool. I would've still taken Alvin even if I knew my dad was allergic."
We sat there in silence for a little, both of content on drinking our coffees, before Eric broke the silence. "So, there was something that I actually wanted to talk to you about." He stated, looking down at his, almost empty, coffee cup.
"And what would that be?" I asked, raising my eyebrows in the process. "You know that this isn't your first time living, right?" I nodded and he continued, "Well, in your past lives you obviously would have different families each time."
"Wait, what?" I asked. "What do you mean that I would have different families?"
"Well, your family can't die with you so when you would die and come back you have a new family." He explained before waving his hand in dismissal, "Anyways, you would have a new family each time but the first time when you were first born you had this family and you loved them. You had a big brother and a mother and father, you always wanted an animal but couldn't afford one."
I stopped him right there, "How do you know all this?" I questioned.
"Well, like I said, you had a big brother" He shrugged, finishing his coffee.
It took me a while to get what he was saying but once I registered my eyes widened wide like saucers, "You were that big brother" I concluded to which he nodded in assurance.
A/N wow I finally updated! Wow! Woah! I had writers block, plus I just haven't really been motivated to update until recently. Also, I combined some chapters and deleted some but yeah. I didn't any new stuff just renovated the old stuff...if that makes any sense..anyways, sorry it took me a while to update and this one is short and sucky and ew. Writers block is a bitch tbh..Oh and I have school now, I went back over a week ago but since I get out early on Wednesdays, I'll try and update then.
