Jack cried until there were no tears left.

Mark had told him that he 'shouldn't get the wrong idea' because they're 'strictly colleagues'.

He was heartbroken.
He thought Mark had felt the spark that he did when they touched.

He really thought that Mark could feel it too.

The thoughts of Mark wouldn't leave his head.
He thought Mark wanted him.
He liked that,
He's never been wanted before.
He wanted Mark to want him again.
He wanted to feel wanted again.

But for now his tears will mix with blood and pieces of broken heart on the bathroom floor.

It was nothing new for Jack.
Nobody ever wanted him.
His parents never told them they loved him.
He felt that feeling.
That hole in your stomach,
That hole you feel when you feel unloved.
That hole grew bigger with every tier of paper skin.

He felt empty.

But he'd pick himself up and make Mark realise what he's giving up.

He know's Mark felt it too,
He had to have.

His heart would ache but he'd win Mark back.
He'd do it even if it killed him.
