Natsumi hummed quietly under her breath as she walked down the street, knowing that Team Seven always returned from training this way. Beneath her feet, a layer of snow crunched and she smiled at the sound. Small flakes drifted gently down from the sky and she hugged her arms close to her body to ward away the cold.
She looked up to see Team Seven, right on time, and she raised her arm to wave.
"Naruto!"
Naruto turned at her voice and broke into a smile. "Natsumi!"
She quickened her steps to meet him halfway.
"I thought you said you'd come with us?" Naruto made a serious face at her, then laughed and was unable to hold back a laugh.
"I was going to, but I got busy doing some last-minute shopping and wrapping someone's present." Natsumi stuck out her tongue.
Naruto's eyes widened slightly. "A present?! For me?!"
Natsumi laughed and crossed her arms. "Yup! I think I outdid myself this year."
"What is it? What'd you get me?" He pestered her and she shook her head.
"It's supposed to be a surprise, you goof." She nudged him with a smile.
He crossed his own arms and his face settled into an exaggerated pout. "I hate waiting."
"It's only a few days away." Natsumi smiled, then put a hand on her hip. "So, you'd better not even try to open it early."
She blinked and looked around, realizing Naruto had already run ahead.
"Naruto! Don't even think about it!" Natsumi furrowed her brows and called after him.
He laughed loudly over his shoulder. "Better catch me, then!"
Natsumi crossed her arms and grumbled under her breath. "He always spoils the surprise..." She sighed and turned back to the others, smiling faintly as she reached into her pockets and retrieved three small wrapped gift boxes, each no bigger than the palm of her hand. "I have presents for you all, too."
Sakura blinked. "For... us?"
"Oh?" Kakashi smiled down at the girl. "How thoughtful."
Natsumi held each gift out to them to take, stopping at Sasuke who only looked at her with an uninterested expression. Natsumi narrowed her eyes and nudged him with the gift.
"Take it."
He took the box from her, scoffing quietly. "I'm not childish enough to want presents."
Natsumi crossed her arms at him with a slight scowl. "Just open it, stupid." She smiled at Sakura and Kakashi. "You open yours, too."
Sakura tore off the paper quickly, keeping it in her hands as she revealed the small box and opened it up. Her eyes widened slightly.
"It's... a pin."
Natsumi grinned and nodded. "Do you like it?" She looked at Kakashi and Sasuke, who looked down at their own pins. "I designed them myself. Each of yours has your clan symbol as the background to show where you come from, and the number seven in the middle represents how you came together as Team Seven."
Kakashi held the pin up to examine it better and smiled.
"This is a very thoughtful and meaningful gift." He patted Natsumi's head. "Thank you "
Natsumi giggled and her cheeks warmed slightly. He likes it!
Sakura looked from the pin to Natsumi.
