"What! Where am I?" Oh lord, it then came back to me. I was so fucking drunk last night. I remember passing out after the party. After the "engagement" the Williams left and it was mostly dull so I went out with Sean to grab a few drinks. I was so completely confused and out of my mind that I crossed my actual limit.

Sean surely dropped me back home yesterday. Actually, among my friends, I am the one with the lowest alcohol tolerance. Just give me two beers and out out. O.U.T

I woke up with the worst headache ever and I felt super nauseous that almost thought I was having morning sicknesses. Damn I don't feel right.

Well, of course, how can I even wake up like that?!! My phone buzzed continuously, irritating me even more. "Morning moooom," I said in a deep corse sleepy voice.

"Honey when are you going to buy the ring? I was just off the phone with Mrs Williams and she said that Evelyn and her are going to see the wedding planner today itself to plan and coordinate all the arrangements. Don't worry your father and I will be meeting up with the printing company today to select a draft for your wedding invitations. Make sure to make yourself available if ever we need to contact you or anything." She said in a breath. Funny as if I'm worried about all those shitty arrangements.

For the time being, I was only perplexed about what I'm going to say to friends. From which movie plot can I steal so ideas?! What about I tell them that's it's a contract marriage? ..... ahhh too cheesy.

Already tired to start the day, I got off the bed and walked my way to the bathroom. Rubbing my eyes, I forget about that stupid ugly ring. Fuck owwww did I just cut myself. Shit. I ran to the bathroom mirror. The skin under my eyes didn't look peeled off but it fucking felt like it. It was only red. I removed the ring and placed it safely in the drawer.

At about 9am I was off for work. Reaching my office, as I pushed the door open, "Soooo...." My gosh it was so freaking creepy. It was like some chants that literally gave me goosebumps. "Tell us, quick quick. What happened, you said it was very important." Alicia said since I left a weird and sad voice note on our Whatsapp group saying that I won't be the same anymore. I felt blank for a moment. I didn't know how to hide the fact that I'm only doing this for the sake of my family because I know my friends and they would seriously be furious upon me for doing such a crazy stupidity.

"Mate, unlike you I have some serious documents that need to be sorted out before the holidays so you better hurry up" Daniel uttered quite irrigated. Sure I was losing their time. It's the end of November and we are all on a rush to squeeze all the remaining projects that we have so that there is nothing pending next year.

"Guys,.... I'm ENGAGED" I said in a rather low tone and immediately looking up to see their reaction. I lifted my right hand to show them the ring but then, "Well I'm engaged but I forgot to wear the ring." "The documents can wait" Daniel was the first one to break this awkward silence. "Come again,.. What do you mean that you are engaged? I mean, with whose permission and who even to?" Samuel spatted furiously. I kind of expected that though. I can't blame them, they care too much about me. "Ehh remember the girl I went on a date with? Her name is Evelyne. She is a nice girl." Gosh cringe.

"What the actual fuck is going on? You went on two dates and you're engaged, Maybe on your third I baby would pop out or wait.... Worst, did you get her pregnant and now you are forced to marry her to clear out the shame. What did you do man." Xavier speculated. "Shut up dude, her parents and mine had a small reunion yesterday and as we were getting along well, they decided to not lose further time and get us engaged right away."

"What about you? Are you ready? Hold up, fuck you, is this the cake, baking crap you were shitting about yesterday. Couldn't you use proper terms,I would have clearly said NO. Are you out of your mind. You did that for your family, didn't you? If you bake the cake and they will be happy and stuff." Christian pointed out making me dumbfounded. I never thought he would dissect that this way.
