Dallin's POV
It's been almost four days since I last saw Willow. I had mostly been hanging out and catching up with Tony over those days, drinking a few beers at the bar, and just enjoying life back in Arizona.
There were only a few nights, fortunately, that I had nightmares about Afghanistan. Nightmares that included watching some of my newly made friends die or the thought of a surprise attack and almost dying myself. But, it's whatever.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
I jumped at the sudden pounding of my hotel door. Who would be knocking on my door?
I got off my bed and opened the door. It was the little old lady who owned the hotel. "You need to get out. Right now!"
"What? Why?"
"You're payment is up. You can no longer stay if you don't pay for the rest of your nights you plan on staying here." she informed.
"But, I hardly have anymore money left. Please do a returned military man a favor?" I pleaded.
"Get out." and with that she left.
Shit! I kicked my backpack across the room in anger and frustration. What was I supposed to do now? I don't really want to stay with Tony because I'll feel like a burden and my family doesn't live here anymore.
Suddenly, an idea popped into my head. I quickly grabbed my bag and started stuffing my few belongings in. I threw the backpack over my back and took off out the door.
About half an hour later I was outside Willows bookstore. This was a risky move I was planning on doing. But, either go big, or go home.
I walked into her bookstore and went to the back counter to check if she was there. She wasn't. She must be stuffing her nose in a book behind some of these shelves.
A rustling noise came from the back that stopped me in my tracks. What was that?
I stepped behind the counter to investigate.
I walked through the curtains that seperated the room from the main part of the store to find a little living room. To the right of me was like a little small kitchen and to the left was the couch and chairs.
Then a door opened to my very right, which I suppose is the bathroom, and Willow came out and crashed right into me.
All I could hear was a peircing scream and all I could feel were punches aimed at me.
"Willow! Willow! Stop! It's just me!" I yelled at her.
She stopped hitting and turned her head to face me. "Oh my gosh! I thought you were...someone else."
In our current position, she noticed she was straddling me and immediately got off. "Um, sorry about that."
"It's cool." I gruffed out as I got up as well.
"So what are you doing here?" She asked. She shuffled her feet a little and walked over to the fridge to pull something out. "Oh, you can sit down if you want." She gestured to the chairs.
I went over and sat down on the couch.
"Uh, well I was wondering..." I stopped talking because right at that moment she was bending over getting something in the fridge drawer.
What? I'm a guy! I can't help myself!
"See something you like?" Willow teased as she stood up, closed the fridge, and walked over to sit on the couch.
I could feel myself start to blush. "Uh, *cough cough*, "anyways, I was sort of wondering if you could help me out?"
"With what?"
