Dallin's POV
I've been staying with Willow for almost two weeks now. We've gotten into this routine where I make breakfast, then we drive to the bookstore to work all day, then we come home and she makes dinner.
It brings a smile to my face to think we're acting like a couple. Sort of.
I'm currently lying in bed smiling to myself like a loon. Man, I'm so whipped.
It's amazing how she's actually accepted me living here with her. And we're actually getting along great instead of fighting, which is a miracle.
I jump out of bed feeling like it's going to be a great day. That's probably bad because one of the last times I felt like it was going to be a good day, I ended up throwing up all over the basketball court during my freshmen year because of something I ate. It was so embarrassing. I remember everyone laughing at me. I also remember that was the day I met Willow. She was the only one who stuck up for me and didn't tease me about throwing up everywhere.
I sighed. She is definately one amazing person.
I get out of bed and put on some clothes for the day. I then head into the kitchen.
The first thing I notice is a note on the counter. I snatch it up, curious as to what it has to say.
Hey Dallin,
Hope you don't mind, but I'm not going to be home for a while. I have some things to do. I honestly don't know when I'll be home, so don't worry. Hope you have a good day.
-Willow
P.S. Can you open the store for me? Thanks! :)
All these different types of scenarios of what she might be doing came into my head. Was she seeing a guy? Did she want to get away from me for the day? What was going on?!
I'm overreacting. She's probably...well, I have no clue as to what she could be doing. But, it's probably nothing bad.
I shrug it off and proceed with getting myself breakfast. I open up one of the cupboards and take out the pop tarts Willow bought for me a little over a week ago.
A smile plays on my face as I think how king of Willow it was to buy me some pop tarts. God, she's amazing.
Once I'm done eating, I grab the keys to my motorbike and head out to the bookstore.
Honestly, it's not as boring as you'd think, being in a bookstore all day. I've been really enjoying it. The atmosphere of it is just so calm and peaceful. What's not to enjoy about it? Especially when I'm with Willow all day.
I pull up to the bookstore to find that there's already another vehicle parked there. The lights are on in the shop as well. Who the heck is here? And how'd they get in?
I hop off my bike and walk in. The familiar sound of the bell jingles as I push the door open.
I can hear voices in the back of the store and start going towards it.
"Hi, welcome-" a guy's voice says behind the counter as I get closer. I interrupt him though.
"Who are you?" I ask, a little rudely.
"Excuse me?" The guys says and quirks an eyebrow.
"Dallin! Hi! So nice to see you again!" the familiar sound of Avery's voice says as she comes from the back.
"Hey, Avery." I say with a small smile.
I am so confused right now. What are these people doing here?
