Dallin's POV
Willow's been in the hospital for almost three days. I haven't left her side, other than to eat or go to the restroom.
I would call it a blessing that I had the sudden urge to go home that day. I knew something was wrong. Everything just felt off. When I ran into Willow's room, I found her pinned under a grimy looking man, who I obviously assumed was Daniel. He was yelling at her. There was blood coming out of the wounds he made on Willow, and it just enraged me to think of anyone hurting my Willow.
I immediately shoved him off of her and pummeled him to a pulp. I hit him harder than I've ever hit anybody. I'm lucky I beat him bad, because once I was done I noticed a gun dropped on the floor beside him. He was too weak to possibly reach for the gun, let alone shoot it, so I snatched it up and pointed it at him.
While I had been fighting Daniel, Willow feebly went to the kitchen and called the police. In no time, cops surrounded the house and had Daniel in handcuffs. Willow was immediately rushed to the hospital.
Fortunately, she had no serious injuries. Just three broken ribs and a badly bruised cheekbone, as well as a couple other bruises.
Currently, I was holding her hand with both of mine as she slept. I studied every part of her, and come to realization she was the amazing, strong Willow I had all those years ago, just more beautiful.
"Hey, beautiful." I said when I saw the first signs of her waking up.
"Hi." She croaked. She gestured for the water and I handed it to her. "Thanks."
I nodded. Our days together in the hospital were and had been spent in silence. But a comfortable silence. There is nothing this world could throw at me that would ever change my feeling about Willow.
____________________________________________________Willow's POV
My eyes fluttered open as the rays of sunlight filtered through the window of my bedroom. Feeling the strong arms of Dallin around me, I snuggled in deeper.
"You're awake." He grumbles as he shifts under the covers so he can look at me.
"Yeah." I mumble into his shirt. "Thanks for everything." I tell him as I bury my head deeper into his side.
It had already been almost two months since the incident with Daniel. My wounds and bruises had healed and Dallin took it upon himself to make my life better. Once all the fuss of Daniel stopped and me feeling safe again, Dallin proposed.
His sudden proposal made my world! It was the happiest moment in my life. We had a very small wedding, only inviting some of his family and of course our friends. This was all only three weeks ago.
So far, being newly weds and all, we only have gotten into one little argument. Him being way overprotective, and me being annoyed with it. But I know he just wants what's best for me, and I completely understand his actions seeing as to all I've been through and all that he's had to see.
Now, I'm just so happy that I have nothing to worry about. Daniel is locked behind bars and I'm now married for forever to the only guy I've ever loved. Life is finally looking up for me, even though it may not be entirely perfect. But, I can say it's close to perfect.
"I would do it over and over again, Willow, because I care for you. I still love you."
I look up from his chest, hovering over him looking straight into his eyes. "I still love you too."
