you've been gone for so long.
i forgot what you smelled like
until i smelt your cologne today.
someone walked past me in the grocery store
and i turned towards him, expecting you.
even when you're gone,
you manage to let me down.
you vanished;
left out of thin air again.
you disappear and come back every few months,
but it's been about seven months now.
seven months of not seeing you,
seven months of no calls.
no texts.
nothing.
radio silence.
i always knew that no matter what happened
you would talk to me when it was important.
you made sure to contact me every birthday,
every christmas
