"He can call me what he wants."

(Y/N) Potter, daughter to Fleamont and Euphemia Potter and twin sister to James Potter. She was the female version of her twin, sharing a love of quidditch and an unusual love for keeping her hair messy. Whether this love stemmed from her and her brothers refusal to use their fathers product will never be proved as they refuse to give a reply when they are questioned.

She's intelligent and isn't afraid to showcase her talents, even managing to make it into Professor Slughorn's exclusive Slug Club. James never stops teasing her about that but there's never any harm done. (Y/N) also formed close relations with the Marauders, becoming a key member in her 4th year after deciding she preferred the company of her brother and his friends than the girls in her year. Her ideas formed the basis for the majority of the pranks performed.

She was deathly loyal to her friends, choosing to become an animagus along with the others to help Remus on the full moon. (Y/N) even got into physical fights over protecting her friends which brings us up nicely to the start of this story.

The crowd of students was slowly growing, surrounding the scene that was occurring down by the shore of the lake. Severus Snape was stood on one side of the circle with other Slytherin students stood behind him and the Marauders on the other side. Snape was stood there spitting out strings of insults at the Marauders, the Slytherin students cheering him on. Surprisingly, the Marauders were staying calm, trying their hardest to stay strong for Remus after having had a particularly bad full moon and transformation. As the crowd grew larger it was getting harder for them to get out without making it seem like Severus had won. The last thing they wanted was to have a conflict, none of them being awake enough to fight. However, one insult set (Y/N) off, renewing her energy and forcing her into action.

"You are all privileged and stuck up. Sat up on your high thrones looking down on the rest of us!"

(Y/N) stormed away from her group and towards Severus, the crowd starting to get excited, James calling back to her telling her to stop and just leave it. But she couldn't. Anger boiled in her blood as the slimeball Snape grinned as a result of getting a reaction out of her. Balling her hands into fists, she walked faster until she was within arms reach. The punch happened faster than he could comprehend. It connected with his large hooked nose, releasing a sickening crack into the air and sending him falling to the ground like a sack of potatoes.

Everyone stood stunned. No one expected the smallest member of the Marauders to be the one to react and least of all to react with such anger. Lily Evans, who was stood on the sidelines for the majority of the incident, suddenly moved into action, helping Severus sit upright as the blood streamed out of his nose. (Y/N) just stood above him, glaring down, her anger still bubbling away under her skin. She ignored Lily's hostile shouts at her and was only broken from her angry trance by the demanding Scottish voice of Minerva McGonagall calling through the crowd.

"What's going on over here?"

McGonagall gasped as she looked down at Severus, bringing a handkerchief to the boys nose to stop the blood flow. Looking around, her eyes met (Y/N)'s.

"Miss Potter. I trust you will tell me what has occurred. Honestly"

"Yes Professor. I punched Snape in the face and I don't regret it."

(Y/N)'s monotonous reply set Lily off again on a fit of fury before McGonagall calmed her down. Standing she beckoned (Y/N) to follow her up to the castle. Obeying (Y/N) took one last look at her brother and friends before carrying up to McGonagall's office.
