3 months later...

It was April, which meant that it was also rain season in the uk, (I say this like we don't get rain at any other time of the year when we do), which is honestly my favourite season of all fucking time, but my family had always felt otherwise about rain season, but that didn't stop me from adoring the rain, if anything, it helped with pranks on Soph and Mikey, (lol this isn't going to recall one of those pranks though as they weren't home).

I was watching the rain from the living room/kitchenette window, because that gave me the best view for inside viewing, I was so in-groused that I didn't hear the front door open, so I didn't know that Dad was back from work until he sat beside me.

"Hey Baby"
"Hey Dad, I would ask if you're ok but then I also know that you're not happy about being caught in the rain"
"(Chuckles), nah, I'm alright Bambina, I just had to pull the strings of my hood that little bit tighter so that my hair wouldn't get wet from the bloody rain"
"(Snorts), you know, if I didn't know you any better Dad, I would say that you sound like some of the girls I go to school with?"
"Yeah, you have said that to me before kiddo"
"I'm just checking that you know this information so that you won't bitch about it or accuse me of hiding things from you, 'cause that would be a little bit shitty to hear, ya know"

I expected Dad to just roll his eyes at me, but he actually didn't do that, instead he actually answered back, (well not like in a 'he answered me back' kind of way, it's more like he just replied to what I said, lol).

"Sweetheart, you do know that I'm an adult, and that I have been for quite a while now?"
"I mean yes you have been an adult legally for a decade now, though I feel like you've acting like an adult probably for about 16 years now 'cause your Mum's a bitch and doesn't like taking responsibility for her shit, you know"
"(Snorts), don't be such a smart arse Ro"
"I'm not trying to be a smart arse Daddyo, though if I am being a smart arse then I totally get it from you Daddy"
"I don't know wither I should be insulted or not"
"It's definitely not meant as an insult, because it's a trait from you, like in all actual seriousness"
"I'm glad to hear that Baby"

I then gave Dad a hug, because regardless of him being in a wet coat or not, he always gives the best hugs, because they're just so warm and welcoming, regardless of what Dad tells you about his hugs, (he would tell you otherwise).

"Don't hug me Ro, I'm wet"
"You say that like it bothers me"
"It bothers me that you're not bothered about it Kiddo"
"And why is that Dad?"
"Because you can get sick from being wet, and it seems like you don't seem to care about your health at all"
"I guess that from a parental standpoint that my lack of care when it comes to the these sorts of things is a bit scary, but I hugged you because you give the best hugs"
"I appreciate that but I can still give you a hug when I'm not in a wet coat Bambina"
"You have a point there Dad"
"(Snorts), I'm glad that you realise that Baby"

So I sat back on the windowsill, as Dad had a point about his wet coat, Dad then got out of his wet coat, I obviously continued to watch the rain from the windowsill as it's my favourite weather condition.

"How was school today Kiddo?"
"It was school Dad, nothing interesting happened today"
"(Snorts), well as long as you learnt something today Kiddo"
"I did actually learn something today Dad"
"That's good to hear, have you started on your coursework yet?"
"Yeah I have"
"Good"

So we watched the rain for a while, as it was calming for me to watch, I can't speak for Dad here as I'm not him, (lol that sounds so weird as a statement), I then asked him a question as I always thought of things while in silence.

"Dad"
"Yeah Baby"
"When did you realise that I liked looking out at the rain?"
"You were like 6 months old, you had started teething so you weren't sleeping that well, and one night it was absolutely pouring it down with rain, and I thought that it would've kept you up all night, so I was preparing for an all nighter, but actually it helped you sleep, (chuckles)"
