Chapter 62: Deep Down We Go.

This has been the journey so far...

The Grim Reaper and The Murderous Girl ran from danger, unprepared. They run across bridges and soon they were met by a dead end... And they only way they can escape the danger, is to hide.

(y/n): Damn it! I wasn't ready for this!

Chara: This is so much worse than last time! F*ck!

Chara cursed while the two of you ran across a bridge with many turns and such as blue glowing spears would merge from below. You and Chara were caught unprepared, continued to run and dodging every spear that bursts from under your feet.

(y/n): And the bastard is hiding somewhere! Making this difficult to fight back!

Chara: F*CKING COWARD FISH!!!

Chara shouted, continuing your run away as you make turns, left and right... But eventually you and Chara came to a stop as the bridge suddenly ends with nowhere to go, you took a step forward and looked down... Blackness as you take a step back and looked at Chara.

(y/n): Well... Any ideas?

Chara: Uh... No. Nothing.

Chara replied, soon you and Chara heard metallic footsteps heading your way as you and Chara turned around. Not wanting to fight here where it's possible to slip up and fall... However one idea came in mind as you turn towards Chara and asked.

(y/n): Chara, how good is your grip?

Chara: Good... I guess? Why?

(y/n): Whatever you do, don't let go.

Chara: You have no idea how terrified I am right now.

Chara replied as she gripped onto your clothes tightly as you were under the bridge, upside down as Chara was on top of you with arms and legs wrapped around you, footsteps were heard above the bridge as you could barely see someone walking towards the end of the bridge as silence soon fills the air for a moment... Seconds later, you see the attacker leave as their footsteps soom faded, sighing in relief as you spoke.

(y/n): Bloody hell... Looks like we're safe.

However... The bridge suddenly shakes violently as you held onto the bridge and Chara held onto you tight.

Chara: Oh come the f*ck on!

Suddenly you begin to hear loud creaking sounds as you looked over your shoulder and see half the bridge was slowly falling apart.

(y/n): Oh... We're about to go down.

Chara: Oh son of a-

But before Chara could finish, the bridge snaps and begins to fall downwards as you held a calm expression as Chara buries her head on your shoulder and held on tight while you and Chara fell deep below.

[Timeskip with Chara pressing her body against (y/n)'s as the two were covered in blood as Chara licks (y/n)'s lips with glowing crimson red eyes.]

Chara: Ugh... I'm going to fry that b*tch alive and feed (y/n) her burnt corpse...

Chara began... Groaning in pain after the fall. She slowly pushes herself up until she felt immense pain on both her side and leg as she turns over to see two broken wood pieces stabbed into her waist and thigh as she gritted her teeth.

Chara: Oh god... This hurt... Nngh!

Without any hesitation, Chara grabs on of the pieces and pulled it out with force, screaming in pain as she tosses the piece aside.

Chara: Please don't be dead, (y/n). Please!

She pleaded as she grabs the last piece on her thigh and pulled it out, luckily it was less painful than the first, tossing it aside she carefully gets up and began looking around immediately, searching for you as she was in a river with a waterfall.

Chara: (y/n)?

???: C-Chara?

Chara quickly turns her head after hearing your weak voice, spotted you on some wooden platforms, raising your hand as Chara sighed in relief.

Chara: Oh thank god your alive!

She said with a smiled, rushing towards your side as she kneels down and grabbed your hand.

Chara: Come on, we need to get the f*ck out of here.

(y/n): No no no no... Don't... Don't lift me up.

Chara: Oh... I guess your not as injured then?

(y/n): No... Turn me on my side.

You requested, Chara raised an eyebrow as she carefully turn you on your side as she immediately sees your spine was poking out of your skin, horrified by the sight as she panicked.

Chara: No! No no no no no!

(y/n): Hehehe... Relax... It'll heal.

Chara: Wait, you serious?

Chara asked and looked at you as you smiled and hummed in response. However you spoke.

(y/n): It'll... Take some time, and since I can't move cause of the damage. I... Need-

Chara: Help? Yea, I got you, babe.

Chara carefully lifted your head on her lap, facing her as she sighed in relief once more, smiling as she caresses your cheek.

Chara: You had me scared for a moment.

(y/n): Sorry... Didn't mean to scare you like that. But I'll be fine... Just need to rest for a bit till my back heals.

Chara: That I'm totally fine with. As long as your alive.

You only chuckled before closing your eyes and drift into a peaceful sleep despite the pain your feeling on your back as Chara just watches you sleep as she leans her back on some pile of wood that used to be the bridge as everything fades to black... And the title "Undertale" appeared as the title is untouched and peaceful silence fills the air.
