I'm trying so hard to keep it together,
so hard to keep you from knowing
so hard to fake my love and passion
Must I try so hard to love?
Each person I go through,
just makes it worst,
as I struggle to keep my heart in tact
The beat is weak, just barely there...
I've pinned and sewn,
patched it over and over
this broken heart of mine
Scarred forever, with no closure.
This heart of mine that's been beaten
over and over...
so I ask myself,
why?
Why do I continue to love?
My heart can't keep up,
I've fallen into a repetitive well,
to have it broken once again...
