My clock is ticking backwards
age has abandoned me
as long as I'm still standing,
my clock is ticking backwards.
You can't take my youth from me...
Here you see me old today,
and tomorrow I'll be young again.
My youth's an everlasting gift.
As long as I'm still standing,
my clock is ticking backwards.
I can't let my youth float away...
The world moves fast around me,
I'm no-longer a part of it.
As long as I'm still standing,
my clock is ticking backwards.
I won't throw my youth away...
People watch in stunted awe as my body grows,
but mind and strength don't whither with it,
because as long as I'm still standing,
my clock is ticking backwards.
You can't take my youth away...
As long as I can run each day,
I still have my youth those days.
As long as I can laugh away,
I still have my youth today.
