How can I hear when I'm deafened?
How can I feel when I'm senseless?
I've given up, I'm giving up.
How can I speak when I'm muted?
How can I love when I'm hardened?
How can I live when I'm lifeless?

I had you, and then you left me.
I had care, and then it quit me.
I had life, and then it killed me.

I fell in hell, so I may suffer.
I left heaven, so I may prosper.
