Katherine's POV
It had been about two weeks since Wes and Keaton's show in HB, and living with him had been amazing. Sleeping next to him every night, feeling him inhale and exhale against my back as he held me close to him made sleeping such a pleasurable experience. I think Keaton was actually appreciating it, too, considering I took care of the grocery shopping and cooking now. It was the least I could do, considering they gave me a free place to stay.
I came home from the smoothie shop one night after closing up, my makeup faded off my face and my messy hair tied back in a bun. I opened the fridge to grab something to eat when I felt two arms wrap around my torso, making me jump and smack my head on the top of the fridge. "Oh, jeez!" I cried, rubbing my head as I turned around to see Wes standing there.
"Sorry, did I scare you?" He asked.
"Yeah, you did..." I said, a slight annoyance in my voice as I grabbed a naked juice and walked into the bedroom.
"Sorry Kit-Kat..." Wes asked, coming over and kissing my neck.
"Wes...wes, I have a class tomorrow, I gotta get some sleep I'm exhausted." I moaned, trying not to show how much I was enjoying his lips against my neeck. It sent chills down my spine, and back up it. "Mmm...Wes, not now..." I started to giggle. He pulled me closer, pressing his lips to mine. That's when I smelt the alcohol on his breath. "Hey. Are you drunk?" I asked him, pulling away from him. He had a glassy look in his eyes.
"No...of course not...now come here." He laughed, holding me tighter.
"Wesley, stop get off of me!" I yelled as I pushed him away from me and got up, running for the bathroom. This was a side of Wes I hadn't seen before. I mean, sure, he took me to a couple parties and we'd drink together but the way he acted towards me just then, it was alarming.
I sat on the top of the toilet seat, my head in my hands as I stared down at the white tile floot...noticing a tear of mine drip down my cheek and hit it. I hadn't spoken to Rachel since that night, and now I was feeling completely alone. What if this did fall through? What if Wes wasn't the person I thought he was? I mean, I'd only known him a couple weeks. And I was living with him now? These questions were racing through my head, when I heard a knock on the door. "Kat, I'm sorry! Please, come out. I didn't mean it." He said. I stood up, wiping my tears off my cheek as I walked closer to the door. I leaned my head against it, shutting my eyes tight as I listened to him on the other side. "Kit-Kat, please...say something." I sighed.
Wesley's POV
----------Earlier that day----------------
"Alright Wesley you can head home now, kid. It's looking like we're not gonna get anymore customers for the night..." My boss said.
"Ahh, awesome. Thanks dude." I said as I clocked out and grabbed my skateboard. I was cruising down the street, making my way back to my apartment around the corner. I was planning on taking Kat out tonight, she deserved it. And dinner and a movie sounded good to me.
Just as I was about to turn the corner i heard someone calling out my name. "Yo, Wes!" I rolled my eyes at the familiar voice as I stopped, and grabbed my board.
"What's up, Drew?" I asked, as the tall blonde kid approached me. Drew and I had been best buds since the 8th grade. He was actually the third member of our band for awhile. But just as we were starting to make a name for ourselves, he questioned whether it was what he really wanted or not and went on to do his own thing. I respected his decision, but we really didn't talk much after that. We were starting to rebuild an aquaintanceship now, though.
