Heard but not Seen

When we got to the hideout, Luke started talking to me, and I knew it would be about me spacing out often.

"Why are you so dazed now adays? You would space out at the wierdest times and im starting to get worried." He had that big brother look on his face. I could understand why he was worried about me, because I would be the same.

"I've been having...." I trailed on.

     "You've been having what?"

"Dreams! I've been having crazy dreams and terrifing nightmares!" I gush out. I was happy I had someone to  tell. I just hope that he believes me.

"You've been having them too?" Luke asked me with a suprised expression on his face.

     "What do you mean?"

"Forget it." he said looking away.

I knew he was hiding something, but I won't ask him right now. Maybe later, when he is more relaxed.

After a long silence, we finally got to work on the hideout. It was a great day to work on it too. The wind was a soft breeze, the snow lightly fell, and when you walked, the snow beneath your feet would make a soft crunching noise(which I loved!)

We got here really early too. I checked my watch. 6:02 it read. I looked over at Luke, and he seemed pretty awake for 6:02 on a Saturday. It was a war trying to gt him out of bed this morning though. I practicly had to drag him out of bed, and he wasn't even awake as I did it!

I t was all great until we started to hear things. Unsual things. Like a soft singing voice at one point, then five minutes later, the sound of a high pitched shriek. It was weird but I thought nothing of it. I was probably hearing things.

Then I heard the worst sound I have ever heard. It was a shriek, but a shriek of pain. The suddeness of it made me hunch over and cover my ears. I look over at Luke and it was funny, he was doing the same thing. Did he hear it too?
