I am so so so sorry for being so late but I was suffering from writer's block and now I came up with a shitty uneventful half chapter but I didn't want to be too late in posting so this will be in two parts as you can see and I'm so sorry again ily.
______________
"What do you mean, you got mugged?" Jenny exclaimed in shock.
I sighed, shifting the phone to the other ear. "What do you think I mean? Some creep stole my bag and got away."
"Did you get it back? God, Ali, I told you that you had to be careful in your area!"
The thing about Jenny was that she was fiercely protective over me. She always kept saying that I was 'very tiny' and that anyone could easily overpower me. And to be honest, it wasn't entirely false.
"I'm fine, Jenny, don't worry. And I got the bag back as well," I reassured her.
"How? Did some cute guy help you or something?" I could practically see Jenny smirking at the other end of the line and I nearly dropped the phone in surprise.
How on earth did she find out?
"Umm..kinda. But he-he had a gun and he shot the mugger and-"
"Woah, hold up. You encountered two criminals today? Ali, for goodness sake! Did this guy steal from you after shooting the mugger?" Jenny yelled and I felt my eardrums burst.
"No, Jen, he didn't do anything to me, he was quite nice, actually," I said calmly. "And speaking of criminals-" I paused, not knowing what to say.
I should tell her about Harry, right? But what if she said the same thing as Tori? And what if Harry decided to hurt her if I did something wrong?
"I need to tell you something," I said hurriedly in a hushed tone. "But not over the phone. I'll come over."
"What's this about?" demanded Jenny curiously.
"I can't tell you over the phone!" I exclaimed and looked around my living room uncertainly. What if Harry was listening in on our conversation?
"Why not? I'm coming over, Ali," said Jenny determinedly.
"What! No, Jenny, listen!" I began frantically but the idiot had hung up.
Before I could dial her number again, the door bell rang and I nearly jumped out of my skin. I unlocked the door and opened it, only to see Jenny standing at the doorstep with a box of gummy bears in her arms and she still had her work uniform on.
"Yeah, now tell me what happened that you're being all secretive," she commanded before shoving the box in my hands. She plopped on the couch and rested her feet on its arm.
I groaned in annoyance. "I told you I would come to your place in the evening, Jen!"
"I don't have that much time to wait until I get out and all that crap. And I also had to check up on you since your bitchy roommate didn't give me exact details on why you skipped today," said Jenny briskly. "How do you tolerate that bitch?"
"I actually don't know," I responded truthfully. "But anyway, listen to what I have to tell you." I opened the box of gummy bears and took one and handed another to Jenny.
"You remember Harry, right?" I asked, not knowing a simpler way to tell her about the beautiful guy who haunted me.
Jenny screwed up her nose. "The sexy guy who was on top of you in the bed yesterday?"
I smacked my forehead at this description. "Yeah, him."
"What about him?"
"There's something you have to know about him," I began slowly.
