Samantha sat down beside Nicholas and started piling food onto her plate. By God's that girl could eat. She ate the mountain of food on her plate and then went for seconds. After she had finished that she went for dessert. A huge slice of chocolate cake to be exact. After she had devoured that she leaned back in her chair surveying everyone at the table.

Nicholas cleared his throat and everyone turned to him. "Everyone meet Samantha... I'm sorry what was your full name again?" He said. Samantha glared at him but said. "Samantha Ashryver Whitethorn Galathynius." Cassian snorted. "Well that's a tongue twister." He muttered.  Samantha glared at him. Nicholas spoke again. "Everyone meet Samantha and Samantha meet Cassian, Azriel, Morrigan and my parents Rhysand and Feyre." He pointed to each one as he spoke.

Mor looked over to Samantha "nice to meet you."
"I wish I could say the same," Samantha hissed in return. At that Cassian snorted. Mor glared at him but Samantha just narrowed her eyes at him. "And what are you supposed to be?" She said to him. "I command the armies," Cass replied. "So you can fight?" She raised a brow at him. Cassian leaned forward in his chair, placing his elbows on the table. "I'm over 500 years old. I'm the best warrior in the world. I've never lost a fight." Samantha just looked into his eyes, no fear in her eyes and said quietly but not softly "Then clearly you've never fought me." The hairs on Nicholas's arm rose.

Cassian smiled a smile that meant nothing but trouble. "Is that a challenge?" He purred. Samantha returned that smile. "Set the place and time and I'll be there." Nicholas was looking at everyone else at the table. All of them, like him were in utter shock. This girl who appears out of nowhere comes and challenges the best warrior in the world to a fight.

Cassian leaned back in his chair and lifted his glass of wine to his mouth. "In the training ring, two hours," he said and then gulped down his wine. Samantha smiled and then got up. "It's a date," was all she said before exiting the room. Everyone stared after her while she left and she knew it. She swaggered more than walked out of the room without once looking back.

"Well that was..." Rhys began. "Unexpected," Feyre said finishing his sentence. "What's the worst she can do?" Cassian asked sarcastically. Everyone else just nodded but Nicholas knew that the girl who just swaggered out of the room was much more powerful than she led on.
