Samantha walked into the training room. It was big, not as big as her one back home, but it would do. The others were already in there waiting. Feyre and Rhysand stood side by side. Cassian was talking to Nesta, Azriel and Mor stood talking to Nicholas. And leaning against the wall was a girl Samantha had never seen. She was small with short black hair and glowing eyes.
They all turned to look at Samantha as she walked in. She plastered a wicked smile on her face that her mother had taught her. She walked over to the weapons and picked up a sword. Not as good as Goldryn but it would do. She walked into the ring and Cassian followed. He had a knives strapped to his legs and a sword across his back. His wings tucked in. "You sure you want to do this?" He asked. Samantha just replied. "I'm the one who should be asking you." He snorted and got into a fighting stance. Samantha also got into a fighting stance and then he pounced.
He was skilled and fast, but not as fast as her. Samantha was like a living flame. She started on the defence but in a matter of seconds she was on the offence cutting and scratching Cassian while he didn't get one scratch in. He lunged, she dodged. He swung, she blocked and swung back harder. This went on for about 10 minutes before they pulled apart.
They both stood at opposite sides of the ring. Samantha lifted her sword and threw it to the side and smirked at Cassian "swords are boring," she explained. Cassian just grinned back before disarming himself. And then they were off. Punches were thrown and kicks. Samantha and Cassian were a blur of black and silver.
Cassian went to punch Samantha, she dodged and grabbed his wrist. She twisted it and flipped him onto his back. He was about to jump back up when a dagger pierced his wing. He roared and made to get up again, but another dagger pierced his other wing. "If i were you," Samantha purred. "I'd stay down." Cassian didn't move. "Good dog," Samantha whispered before leaving the ring.
Everyone was gaping at her, except Nesta and Feyre who ran to remove the ice daggers from Cassian's wings. The wounds on his wings were small and were easily healed by Feyre, but when the daggers were in, if Cassian moved he risked ripping them. It was Rhys who said something first. "How old are you?" Samantha have him a thin smile. "I just turned 19." That made everyone even more shocked. "Where the hell did you learn to fight like that?" Mor chimed in. "I was taught," Samantha replied, not giving away any information. Cassian sat up and gawked at the young female who just kicked his ass. "By who?" He rasped. But it wasn't Samantha who answered his question, it was the small girl with glowing eyes. "Her court." Everyone whipped their heads to look at the woman. "Amren, what do you know?" Rhys asked. "Do you know why nobody in this world can remember the names of the gods they once worshipped?" Amren asked. She looked at Samantha. "Because a couple years ago there was a queen called Aelin Ashryver Galathynius of Terrasen and she was the most powerful person, not only in her world, but all the worlds."
Samantha's jaw tightened and her eyes were full of anger but I could see a small bit of pride in them. "She killed the gods," Samantha said bluntly. "Every last one of them and then she killed a Valg Queen all at the age of 20 and it seems that the gods names went with them, for even in my world no one can remember them except those who helped the queen." Everyone in the room except Amren and Samantha had a bit of fear and awe around them. Samantha continued "Now help me get home," she said in a deadly whisper. "Unless you want to face the wrath of that queen and her court, my court."
Just at that moment Azriel flew quickly to the ground, nobody even realised when he left, and landed abruptly. He walked over to Rhys and said "a small portal has opened up in almost the exact same spot Samantha's portal opened."
Rhys cursed "is it still open?"
"No, it closed almost as soon as it opened"
"Any threat"
"I don't know, all I know is that a white wolf emerged from it."
Samantha's face lit up. "Show me where that portal opened." She demanded. "Why?" Hissed Cassian. "Because, if I'm correct, that is no ordinary wolf that is the White Wolf of Doranelle."
