Maisie's POV
"Aye Maisie come here !!", yelled my dad from the kitchen. I then got up from my comfortable bed and put on my Homer Simpson slippers to see what he wants. When I entered the kitchen my dad had an angry expression on his face and I was starting to get confused. He then speaks. "Why do you have an F on one of your courses in school?", he questioned in anger. I then started to speak and then he slaps me across my soft face. I tried to hold in my tears, but no not this time. "THERE SHOULD BE NO FUCKING EXCUSES", he says. I then tried to run in my room because he was on the urge to beat me even more. I then locked my door and swiped that blade across my wrist, looked to the ceiling and cried my eyes out. You probably think I'm overreacting but no. He has beaten up my mom before she lost custody of me and my sisters and he has kicked me in my stomach countless times. I can't run away or tell anyone because I have nowhere to go and I don't want to be in the system. The only person that is close to me is my ex-boyfriend, Rio. We ended things because he moved an hour away from me and he sort of wanted to improve his grades in school. He was such an awesome boyfriend and best friend. We often communicate on Skype or Instagram when we have time. I then messaged him on Skype.
