Rio's POV
As Maisie's dad opened the door, I fired my fist to his head. He then stumbled backward. I heard weeping as if someone was crying and I looked to the side and it is Maisie scared. She knew at the moment that I was trying to stop all the hurt that she's going through. I then yelled at Maisie to get her stuff and come with me before he retrieved his rifle. We ran through the door and went to my car and went to my house as fast as I can. I just want Maisie to stop being in pain and abused. I just want what's the best for her... She then responds."You didn't have to do that Rio", she says out of surprise. "Maisie I had to. I want you to be safe and here with me. You deserve the world and I'll give you that. I hate the way he treats you like shit and you all that he has right now." I then inhaled and then continued. "I want you to be safe, okay?" She then nods and looked through the window that was on her side.

"You can sleep on my bed and I'll sleep on the couch in the living room", I said. I showed her where everything is at like the bathroom, and the kitchen. When she got settled in, I made her favorite, grilled cheese to make her feel at home. "Maisie, you wanna watch a movie?" She then nods as a response and said "It better be no damn wack ass movie," she said laughing. I then put on Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Our favorite part was when Knives came over and asked for Scott and he just went through the window just to hide from her. I then got a familiar feeling like we when were dating. Man don't tell me I'm in love dawg. We then fell asleep on the couch. Yes, I gave her space dummy. The girl is going through a lot right now so.
Maisie's POV
I got up in the middle of the night to take my meds. I then heard a buzz from my phone and it was a text from my dad.
Asshole👀
Come home now lady, before I report you missing and have the cops arrest Rio
I happily ignored and took my meds. I go back out to the living room, wrapped a blanket on me and went to sleep.
