Maisie's POV I miss my mom and my dad. Everything has gone wrong and it honestly feels like I've been stabbed in the back multiple times. I feel like blaming myself, but I didn't do anything wrong. I hope my dad still watches over me and soon i'll just bump into my mom randomly..you know. I hope she still loves me and wants to have a relationship with me. She's my only family member that I have a chance with. My other family members despise me and doesn't want to take care of me. They believe that I'll end up like my dad.
Maisie got up to make breakfast for Rio and his family
"hmm, what's cookin'", asked Rio's mom in delight.
Maisie smiled in appreciation.
"hey, what you makin' Mase Mase", said Rio in his sleepy voice.
"What it look like roach? I'm making your family breakfast, I said jokingly.
"You're the roach. You didn't have to do this Mase, but I greatly appreciate it."
After everyone finished up eating their delicious meals served by the best, I asked Rio if he would like to come with me to the mall.
He agreed and I went to fetch my black hoodie from his dark room. I decided to wear some pants, because I checked the weather and it was a little chilly out.
When we got to the car, Rio decided to drive and I plugged the aux cord into my iPhone 11. The song that blasted through the car's speakers was a song by $not called "why u mad" that he only released on YouTube.
We had a good time bopping our heads back and forth and feeling some type of freedom. We smiled at each other like we haven't seen each other in years.
When we finally reached our destination, a lot of people stared us down like we are foreign. I'm guessing because of our visible tats and piercings.
"bitches stay mad, niggas always gon' hate", Rio mumbled a lyric from the song we listened to on our ride to get here. I giggled as we walked through the entrance of the mall.
We decided to go through Hot Topic for more jewelry for our piercings. We gazed at a few jewelry and I picked a few things up. Two pieces of jewelry for my gauges and three pieces of jewelry for my septum, because I like switching things up a lot.
Rio picked some cool pieces of jewelry for his ears and septum as well. We walked up to the cashier and paid for our jewelry. We begin to walk out and go to another store.
As we explored the big mall, we seen a lot good clothing stores. We decided to go into Zumiez. Zumiez looks like a chill, hipster store lowkey. We seen some really nice skateboards. Rio went the skateboard rack as I walked close to some Vans.
As I was still looking, a curly head boy walked towards me and asked if I needed any help. I responded by shaking my head no. I look up at his name tag and it read "Angelo".
"Wait, don't I know you from somewhere", I questioned.
"Are you my cousin, Maisie", he assumed.
I nodded my head and he hugged me.
Rio flees towards me and pushed Angelo away from me. Rio's face became a bit pinched and started cursing.
"Babe, it's fine. It's just my cousin Lo. I haven't seen him since I was 5."
People looked at Lo like he did committed a huge crime. He started to swallow excessively to move on of what just happened. Rio calmed down and became calm and collected.
Me and Lo caught up and exchanged numbers. We then went into the counter to pay. Lo gave us a discount since I am family. Me and Rio thanked him and walked away with a wave.
We exited out the mall and entered the car. I placed my bags on the backseat of the car and Rio placed his bags and skateboard back there as well. We buckled our seat belts and got comfortable in our seats. Rio started the car and we were on our way.
I plugged the aux cord into my phone and started to play "Hollow Be Thy Squad" by Xavier Wulf". Xavier Wulf is one of my favorite artists to listen time to time. Rio motioned next to turn it down. He decided to voice his thoughts.
"Has it really been that long since you've seen him", he asked. I nodded and started to speak.
"Our family always has some type of beef with each other and it never been peace or a get together." Rio started to feel bad and pat my back. He changed the subject and asked if I wanted anything to eat. I nodded.
We settled on getting some vegan food from some fast food place and we were on our way home. Yeah, i'm a vegan and what about it.
When we finally reached the house and entered, everyone was sleep. We ate in the kitchen and watched some Netflix and Rio's room. I took my pills and we called it a night.
