"i guess space, and time, takes violent things, angry things and makes them kind."

"Hey look out!"

Just in time to see you barreling toward him, Loki glanced up from his phone to have you collide right into him... and on top of him.

"I'm so sorry sir! Are you ok?" you asked as you scrambled to your feet trying to help the poor guy up and catch your longboard at the same time.

"I suppose I'll live," said Loki brushing himself off. It was just sunrise and no one was on the boardwalk but him and this blind mortal just happened to smash into him.

"Listen I'm real sorry," you apologized as you picked up your surfboard and hopped back on your longboard.

"Just watch where you're going," Loki mumbled as he started to walk to the pier once again.

Tony had business in Huntington, California and the team decided to tag along for a vacation. Loki was annoyed he even had to come, but the roar of the ocean and warm weather reminded him of him of home.

Leaning over the wooden rail of the pier Loki looked to the horizon to watch the new days sun peak out from the water line. A salty breeze floated through his cobalt locks and he sighed in peace as he closed his eyes.

When he opened his eyes again he saw a figure by the water stretching. Shaking his head in disbelief he chuckled, it was you, the girl who had knocked the breath out of him.

She wore an all black wetsuit and threw her hair up in a messy bun. Strapping the leash around her ankle she set off into the water. As the sun rose the girl chased the waves for about an hour before paddling back to the shore.

Loki's phone buzzed and he pulled it out of his pocket to see what it was. It was Wanda asking him to bring breakfast smoothies back for everyone. With a huff Loki put his phone away and looked for you once more. The way you danced with the waves on your board was mesmerizing to him, but you had gone.

"You're late," your favorite coworker teased as you rushed in dumping your boards in front of the store and running behind the counter.

"I know," you moaned as you threw your salty hair up in another bun and throwing your backpack under the counter.

"Since I opened you get to man the register," Lexi said as she dragged in bags of ice.

"You got it," you replied as you signed in. You worked at the Smoothie Shack and it wasn't all that bad. You were able to surf between your breaks and could always count on getting a cold drink when you came back. Life was good, but and again... it could be better.

A few regular customers started to trickle in as they came in after their morning runs or swims, it was going to be a scorcher today and you knew it would be a busy one.

"It seems we can't help but run into each other," a smooth voice said causing you to whip your head up from your phone.

"It's you!" you said with a smile not sure if the man was still upset about earlier.

"It would appear so," Loki said with a dry smile.

"What can I get for you?" you asked waiting for his order.

"Whatever you recommend, about eight of them will suffice," Loki said with a shrug.

"Um ok, lucky for you I have very good taste," you said with a little smile as you rang him up.
