There was nothing Jeon Jungkook hates more than friction, in any possible form. Be it a small one within himself in a form of indecisiveness over his clothes' color – there was a reason behind his almost-all basic color clothes after all– or in another larger scale with other people, like his argument with Jimin few days ago about who's going to be responsible for their accommodation. His option were always between the two, try to resolve it or entirely dodge the matter, before it went out of control.

But being trapped and unsure in between those two options was a rare occasion for the ever-so-composed male. Jungkook could easily name the circumstances where he had stood in a crossroad like this. One of them – sighing mentally, – surely held the same reason as what he had experienced just now.

If back then this girl had successfully torn him between square up or retreat, this time too, wasn't a complete different condition.

His hand carried a paper bag with the infamous In and Out logo on it, consisted one big cheese burger and large French fries inside it, while his other hand had floated in front of Yeri's door for a good five minutes. Jungkook bought it, because he knew Yeri's crankiness could be cured by several things. Food included. All he needed was just knock the damn door, hand her the food, and get over it.

Or, he could easily turned his body around and take the godly burger for himself. His mind that occupied with Yeri earlier had made him forget about his own well-being and ended up buying only one package. Now he was hungry.

To solve or to dodge, either way he knew that Yeri would still in her moody self. After all, dealing with jetlag was never easy. Yes, the pathetic male had also tried to put the blame on his own jetlag condition too when he realized he still remember the cure of her crankiness he had discovered during their College, even after years apart. But then again, Jungkook had arrived two days earlier than Yeri and it certainly impossible if he still in a leverage of jetlag.

The male had just dodge the friction between his heart and his mind. That was the situation, no less.

Take a deep breath, Jungkook's knuckles finally came in contact with the wooden surface. Several seconds flew before the door opened, revealing the very girl that had put his mind in a hurricane on his very first month at his new workplace. Her fresh flowery scent hit his nostril, gradually filling the empty hole inside his heart. At the sight of this girl –wet hair, rosy lips, and porcelain skin – Jungkook's genuine smile had bloomed unconsciously, leaving the woman slightly fluster at the beautiful sight before her without realizing the exact same thing had gone through the male's mind first.

"Yes?" She asked, eyebrows raised.

"Um... I just thought that you're probably dealing with the jetlag now." He awkwardly explained to the ever so blank Kim Yerim, "So, I bought you this." He handed her the brown paper bag that could easily make human's digestive system squirm triumphantly.

"Oh," Yeri blinked several times, confused "You brought me... food?"

"A-as far as I could remember, whenever you're down, f-food could help you to feel better. So... yeah." The confidence he had successfully summoned earlier evaporated to only-God-know-where under the gaze of her beauteous orbs, hence the stuttering mess he had turned into.

"Oh," Yeri blinked again, blushing ever-so-slightly. The male was currently busy calming his own racing heart for he failed to notice the subtle pinkish tint on her cheeks. "Thanks, Jungkook-sshi. That's so nice of you."

Jungkook's heart did a somersault at her radiant smile. The one smile Yeri used to give to her closest friends, he noticed. "That's nothing." Jungkook replied, smiling bashfully as he completely showing her his bunny teeth.

"Um, I'll take this then." Yeri took the brown paper bag from Jungkook's hand.

"But Yeri-sshi," he called her, uncertainty was clear on his voice. But his mind quickly flashed back to the earlier commotion on their group chat, so he continued. "Don't you think we need to talk?"

Yeri had a hint of what all this was about, but chose to ask it anyway. "About what?"

"About the hotel's arrangement." He answered straightly but also straightly lamented his choice upon witnessing the downturn of her facial expression.

"Jeon Jungkook-sshi," Uh-oh, " It's quite contradictive with you, giving me this food just now as a cure to my bad mood but in the same time going to bring my mood down further with the talk. Why won't you just take back the food then?"

Jungkook gulped at her words. "N-no, that's not what I mean, I swear. I j-just thought you feel uncomfortable with this shared penthouse."

"What's done is done. Let's just... forget it for now. I'm sleepy and hungry. Instead of getting our problem solved, you probably could be getting me shout at you."

"If... that's what you want." Jungkook shrugged. As much as he hates to prolong the problem, it seemed that he hadn't had any other option at that moment.

"Good." Yeri sighed, "Good night then." She closed the door in front of his face almost immediately.

Jungkook rooted on his position for a minute or two, giving the time for his mind to wander slightly until the sound of protest from his digestive system forced his mind back to the reality. He sighed, shaking his head, before dragged his feet to his room, hoping a simple ramen he had supplied yesterday would calm his grumbling stomach.

All the while, Jungkook thought that his heart was already back to its usual pace and place, certainly sure that the flame he had for her already long gone. He was doing fine all this time. Not a hundred percent fine, he admitted but at least his heart hadn't go miles per minute at the sight of her. he was doing just fine until now, when there was no other matter to focused on, no more questioning gaze from other people to worry whenever he put a slightly longer time to gaze at her, and no other paper works to work on. At least when his focus spared to other thing than her existence, he was fine.

But now, without any distraction existed, he could literally feel his heart beating on his ears at the sight of her alone. All the butterflies he thought already dead were dancing lively inside his stomach at her radiant smile. Jungkook could really sense that he would fall all over again and in all honesty, didn't mind it at all. If it happened, it would be different from the last time, he promised to himself. Jungkook was no longer an incompetent fool who naively refused his own feeling just because he's afraid of hurting. He'd really like to try to rekindle whatever they have back then. Those dazzling eyes and mesmerizing smiles that seemingly tasted like his favorite warm chocolate in a morning spring day, he want it all. Judging from the triumph his heart had felt at the possibility, he knew Yeri is worth it.

She was and still is.
