Chapter 4: No more waiting

Harvey's POV

Donna doesn't go to work today and it's really weird. Never had she been absent before. I leave my office and go to hers after every hour.

"What's wrong with you Harvey? I thougt Mike and Rachel left is enough for me, and now you keep walking in and out like crazy!!!"
Louis moaned, he comes to give me the files of the new case.

"Donna is absent, with no annouce" I replied short.

"So what? She called me this morning, said she had been suffering from a bad cough. Hasn't Donna told you?... Hmm, but she's a COO now, it isn't necessary anymore."
"You can leave now Louis, thanks for the files case"

I place myself on the chair, thinking why Donna told Louis that she is sick not me. Is she avoiding me because of what happened last night. But now, I'm much more worried when Louis said she's sick.

"Think about it clearly Harvey, you might regret it"

I suddenly remember of what she said last night. Maybe it was because of the wine, but I think 12 years thinking and waiting is enough for us. I can't say how many times I want to tell her my own feeling, how many times I hesitated and then just let it pass away. I did, sometimes take her for granted cause it never crosses my mind that she will walk out of my life one day. From the beginning, I've already fallen in love with her and now, I even love her more than I thought.

"Ray, you can go home early today. I have to go to one place by myself tonight."
I pick up my phone and call Ray.
"Would you mind if I ask where?"
"To my woman."

Donna's POV

I wake up with a bad headache. I don't know how could I be able to go home. I try to get my phone and call Louis, to say I won't be at the firm. Calling Harvey is not a good idea after the mess last night. I feel extremely uncomfortable, the fever, headache and Harvey's kiss is killing me inside. Harvey said he loves me, but should I believe him, believe a man's word when he was drunk. I was so tired that I fall asleep all day, only when I heard the door bell ring did I wake up.
"8pm, who come this time..."
I moan, try to get myself out of the bed.

"Who's there?"
I ask tiredly, while fixing the mess on my hair.
"It's me, Harvey. I try to call you but there was no reply."
"Why are you here?"
"Louis told that you were sick. Can I go in?"

I open the door and step away for him to go in. I'm wearing a sweater, no makeup on my face, and my hair is clearly shown that I've just waken up. I turn my back to him so that Harvey can't see my appearance.

"Again, why are you here Harvey?"
"To check whether you're still alive, and bring some food for you. How are you now?"
He asks, while setting the food he brought on the diner table.
"Much more better than this morning, I'll be back tomorrow so don't have to worry. Thanks for the soup, you can leave now."
"Until you finish the dishes. What if you won't eat if after I go"
I can't do nothing but sit down and have the food. The hot soup make me feel warmer and get rid of the fever. I notice Harvey keeps looking at me when I'm eating.

"Why you keep looking at me like that Harvey?"
"Cause you're really cute when eating."
He smiled. I try to hide my blushing face but there's no use.
"Your face is all red Donna, just like a small tomato.
I eat the rest of the soup as fast as I can.

"I'm done eating, can you leave now?"
"Not yet, I want to make sure that you've fallen asleep after I go."
I walk in my bedroom unwillingly, Harvey is behind me. I place myself under the blanket, he's sitting on the left side of the bed.

"I can't sleep with the lights on"
I moaned
"But how can I look at your beautiful face with the lights off."

Beautiful, he said that word, even when now I have no makeup and look like a mad woman. I almost believe it but I convince myself not to. I close my eyes and pretend to fall asleep, but it's really hard cause Harvey hasn't taken his eyes off me yet.
"I know you're still awake. If you do, listen to me. I can't wait any longer Donna, I want your answer. I've already said it before but, you know I love you Donna. "

I get up and ask
"Haven't I told you to think about it clearly?"
"For the record, I did. And you know what, it turns out that whenever I close my eyes and start to think, I can just think of a life without you. Never had you left me, even when I fail, even when I insult you critically, want you to walk out of my life. You always stay by my side when I need you most."
Harvey sighed

"But you know us won't work out. When the feeling that I want to be more than friend comes to me, I was so afriad. That's why I kissed you that day, to check whether it's was real or not. And it was. You know our rule, there's no way we can be together."
I raise my voice tone a little bit.

"Why don't you give us a try. Sometimes, rules were made to be broken."

Harvey expressed, then slowly cups my face and holds me closer to him. His lips reach mine, it quickly moves inside. This time, I don't pull him away. I place both my hands on his face and take the kiss. The kiss is getting more and more passionate. I lie down on bed and pull him on top of me. He starts to move down my neck and kisses it softly while his hands are taking off my sweater, I do the same to his shirt, unbutton it. Inside the white shirt is his muscles and his well-shaped abs, it is so hot that I break the kiss.
"You are appealed to this?!"
He smirked
"Cause it's hot enough to catch my eyes, handsome"
"It's all yours now, babe."

As soon as he says it, my lips have already connected with him again. It is the first time in 12 years we spend all night together. Time passes but nothing change, he's still really good at this. I can believe he's mine now, even if it's late but from now on, we're a couple.

Writer's POV

Donna opens her eyes, she knows Harvey is lying next to him. His arms are around her neck, they're naked on bed. Last night was so hot and fantastic that her fever has gone away. She turns to Harvey and caresses his face carefully.

"Good morning Harvey"
Donna whispered after notice that Harvey has waken up."
"Shit... I think I've caught a fever from you"
Harvey coughs, his voice seems that he's really ill.
"But we did have a great night."
Donna smiled.
"Yah we did. And I want to have more nights like this. Not just today and another 12 years waiting... Donna Roberta Paulsen, would you do me an honour to be your official boyfriend?"
Harevy turns to Donna's face and asks gently.
"I'd love to Harvey. I love you, I've always been in love with you."

So, they're together afterall. But of course not in Suits.
I don't know how long we will have to wait until Darvey truly comes true, only 2 episodes left till Season 8 comes to an end~
