Chapter 8: Re-Think
CAITLIN'S POV:
I sat in the corner rocking. What have I done? She's my best friend and I do this to her? I give her up to the man that made her life miserably for so many years. Also the man who killed her own mother, and I married him. I'm a killers wife, what have I done. I grabbed my pills from my bag and read the bottle.
"Take 1 only daily."
In fine print it read,
"May result in mental issues,"
He was drugging me this whole time. He was giving me pills that made me insane and do the things he wanted me to do. He was going to kill Lena because of me, I had to stop I had to warn her. I ran to the bathroom and flushed the pills down the toilet. I had to find Niall. I flew open the door and ran around the halls.
"Niall!" I yelled.
I knocked on all the doors and yelled for one of them to come out. A door opened and I ran to it, it was Michael.
"Michael," I sobbed.
I ran to him and he hugged me.
"What's going on? Cait are you okay?" He asked.
"Michael I'm not okay, I have to find Niall." I told him.
"Why?" He asked.
He was obviously really worried.
"I-I," I broke down. I fell to the ground and Michael came with me. He embraced me and told me it was okay.
"It's not okay Michael," I told him.
He grabbed my wrists and made me sit against the wall. He held my hands in his in my lap.
"Look at me," he whispered.
I looked up into his beautiful eyes.
"Tell me what's wrong," he asked.
"Lena is going to die tomorrow if I don't find her soon. Please Michael you have to believe me this is all my fault. Lena is going to get hurt if we don't get her out of here, he might her you all too. We need to leave now." I told him.
"Caitlin who's here?" He asked.
"Lena's dad," I told him.
He looked shaken up and I knew why.
"We have to find everyone now Michael," I told him.
He nodded not saying a word and got up. He grabbed my hand and we ran through the hotel. After deciding no one was there we caught a taxi to the performance place and found One Direction.
"NIALL!" Michael yelled.
They stopped singing and looked at Michael.
"What's up lad? You looked shook up," Niall asked.
"We need to find Lena now, her father is at the hotel, he going to kill her tomorrow." He told him.
"Michael what the hell are you talking about?" He questioned.
"IT'S ALL MY FAULT!" I yelled.
They all looked at me.
"Niall, Lena's dad drugged me with pills and he made me trust him and I believed him. He made me hate Lena and he made me want to kill her. That's why I put that note in the photo album, I was crazy. Please Niall believe me, her dad is at the hotel and he's planning to kill her tomorrow, she thinks she is going to see her mum. Niall her mum is dead, her dad killed her."
Niall's jaw tensed and I could see he was worried.
"We have to find Lena," he panicked.
We all nodded and pulled out our phones. She didn't answer any of us.
"Where could she be?" I asked.
Michael looked and me and shook his head.
"Michael please listen to me, I didn't mean to-"
"No Caitlin, just stop." He said.
"Michael let me explain," I begged.
"There's nothing to explain," he said walking away.
Everyone watched as we yelled back and forth.
"Michael please," I begged again.
He kept walking.
"I love you," I whispered crying.
He stopped for a second and then kept walking.
Michael's POV:
"I love you," she whispered.
I stopped for a minute. I could tell she was crying. I couldn't love her could I? I mean after everything she did to Lena, but 'she was drugged Michael.' My mind yelled.
"I love you too," I whispered for no one to hear.
I meant it.
Caitlin's POV:
I turned back to them and cried.
"What do we do?" Ashton asked.
"We find Lena," Liam said.
We nodded and broke up into groups. I was with Luke and Calum.
"Michael loves you, I hope you know that." Luke tells me.
"I don't know Luke, I think it would just be best if he-"
"If he what?" Calum asks making us all stop.
"If he just re-thinks it all."
