Chapter 20: Gonna Be Okay

1 week later~

Caitlin*

"Please just call me, I love you."

I hung up my phone for the hundredth time that night. Another voicemail left for Michael, the 7th one that night. Ever since that night a week ago, he saved me then left. He left just like that. Of course 5SOS is touring right now so I know where he is, but he wants nothing to do with me. Currently I'm staying with Niall and Lena in their flat until I can afford to pay for my own. I got a job working for a restaurant, slowly I'm starting my life over. Its good to have a life all to myself, no one to control it. But I wish Michael was in this new life of mine..
"Cait?" Lena called as she opened the front door.
I got off my bed and went to see what she needed.
"Hey," I smiled when I saw her.
"Hey just wanted to know if you were home, can you help with these?" She asked.
I nodded and helped her with the food bags.
"When's Niall coming home?" I asked.
She was silent.
"Lena?" I asked.
"Cait he's in LA," she told me.
"Why'd he leave so suddenly," I asked.
She looked at the counter then at me again.
"Well you see all the boys went out to LA. They are trying to get Michael to come back to see you." She told me.
Tears brimmed my eyes.
"Why though?" I asked.
"Luke says he's not doing so well, says he isn't getting sleep and he's not into the shows. He's still stuck on you, he just doesn't want to admit it." She told me.
"Lena?" I asked.
She looked at me.
"I think I really love him," I told her.
She laughed.
"I think you do too," she smiled.
We laughed as we put food away and cooked some dinner.
"Their last show was tonight right?" I asked Lena.
She nodded.
"I'm scared," I confessed.
"Don't be, he loves you." She told me.
"Then why doesn't he want anything to do with me?" I asked.
"I know how it feels okay, Niall had a girlfriend, no Niall technically had a wife. It's literally my fault he didn't get married that night, but hey at least I confessed my love for him and here we are, married and pregnant. Sometimes you have to be the one to smack him out of it." She told me.
I nodded smiling at her.

2 days later~

"NO NIALL!" Someone screamed.
I looked beside me to see Lena asleep. Yeah we both fell asleep in the same bed. I listen carefully to the conversation outside. I glanced at the clock, 4:24 am.
"Lena," I said shaking her.
She looked up at me and smiled.
"Huh?" She asked.
"Listen," I told her.
We both listened to the conversation outside between all the guys.
"Michael shut up, you love her god dammit!" Luke and Harry shouted.
It was silent.
"I shouldn't even be here," Michael whispered.
I slowly looked down and then at Lena.
"Told you," I whispered.
We both heard the door slam, then Niall came in.

"Sorry Cait, he's gone."

3 Months Later

My own flat, my own job, all I needed was my own family. Little Lena was showing now with her 4 month belly. It was so cute how happy her and Niall were together. Michael got on a bus and ended up in Ireland that night. He got drunk and the boys had to go get him, I stayed back and watched as my future was fading. A month after being sad I stopped texting, watching him online, and got a place of my own. I saved up and got a very nice and small flat below Niall and Lena's. It was cozy for a couple, but it was cute just for me. I smiled as I looked around at the boxes. 'It's all mine', I thought. Everything is going to be alright, even if Michael isn't here. It will, it is.

Finally it's gonna be okay.
