It was slowing down, now only inches from my face.
This can't be the end! I can't die like this.
Tears welled up in my eyes, threatening to fall.

The piece of space debris hit my helmet. It cracked slightly at first, but the crack enlarged. I stared at it in fear. I couldn't control my breathing; it was coming out in short, ragged breaths.
I'm going to die, aren't I? I'm going to die all alone in space.
I tried to cover the crack. I'm frantic and panicking. I'm yelling for my dad.
"DADDY! FATHER! Help me! Please! Answer me! If you can hear this, I'm sorry. I should've listened to you, I just wanted to make you proud," I said, sobbing. Tears wet my cheeks. I couldn't stop them from flowing nor could I wipe them away.
