I didn't make a songfic a very long time ago, and I was like oh what the heck.

So here it is!!

Song: Tightrope by Michelle Williams, from the movie The Greatest Showman

Some people long for a life
That is simple and planned

"Come on, [F/N]. It's gonna be great, you will see! Don't forget to eat your sandwiches! Have a great day!" a mother kissed her daughter goodbye in the front of the elementary school, then waved, running off, melting into the crowd of parents.
The girl stared at the simple school.
"It's so gray."

Some people won't sail the sea
Cause they're safer on land
To follow what's written

The same little girl was near the river, leaning to touch the fishes.
"What are you doing, [F/N]!!" her mother snapped, dragging her away. "You will fall in!!"

But I'd follow you to the great unknown

"... To the forest...?" the little girl asked, looking at the blonde beside her.
"Yup! Let's climb the trees!" the boy grinned, dragging her away.
"Waah- Syo-chan, chotto matte!"

Off to a world we call our own...

Hand in my hand and we promised to never let go

"S-Syo-chan!"
"Don't worry [F/N]. I'm holding your hand so you won't fall!" he smiled at her.
"... Y-You won't let go....?"
"I won't. Promise!"

High in the sky, we can see the whole world down below
We're walking a tightrope

"Uwaaah!" the little girl squeaked out as they got on top of the tree and looked at the sunset. "We are so high up... It's beautiful!"
"I know, right?" the boy smiled, although he wasn't looking at the sunset at all, only at the girl.

Never sure
Never know how far we could fall
But it's all an adventure that comes with a breathtaking view

Walking a tightrope...

The girl looked at the boy and smiled back.

With you. Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh.

With you, ooh, ooh, ooh, oooh, with you...

There is a time skip. We see the girl now aged up to an adult, walking down the hallway of her and her husband's, Syo's house. Although Syo became an idol and completely left her behind, calling once a month. She understood that he was busy, but she started to feel really lonely.

Mountains and valleys and all that will come in between
Desert and ocean

[F/N] smiled, remembering when Syo was still here. How he confessed, how he proposed, how he kissed her, all the sweet memories...

You pulled me in
And together we're lost in a dream
Always in motion

She also remembered how she had to leave her family behind. They couldn't repeat enough times that they will be fine - but she started to think about it now, that was it really worth it?

So I risk it all just to be with you

She groaned, running her hand through her hair, singing out loud.
"And I risk it all for this life we chose...!"

She ran out to the garden and looked at the trees they once climbed on, letting the wind blow in her hand and singing.

"Hand in my hand
And you promised to never let go!" she sang spitting out the word promise like a lie.
"We're walking a tightrope
High in the sky
We can see the whole world down below
We're walking a tightrope..."

She looked behind her and saw a ghost form of Syo that she only imagined.
"Never sure
Will you catch me if I should fall!?"
she sang running towards him but with one blow of the wind, he disappeared. She froze, and let a tear roll down on her cheek, silently singing.
"But it's all an adventure
That comes with a breathtaking view
Walking a tightrope..."

She started to walk back inside, stomping her feet more and faster with every step.

"With you, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh...
With.you, ooh, ooh, ooh, oooh, with you.
With you - ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, oooh!
With you, ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh..ooh..oooh...."

She froze when she stepped in the house, she saw her husband waiting for her with suitcases beside, opening his arms wide and smiling. "I'm back."
[F/N] slowly smiled and jumped on him.

With you.

Yay.

Why are my Syo oneshots always crappy? I can't seem to understand. Even my Ren one was better.
Maybe Syo went that low as a character for me? Poor guy.
