Just a little doodle here.

Just a little dot over there.

Innocent scribbles of the creative minds in this world, scraped into the human skin, only to be faded away after being washed off a few times.

In some other world, they would probably be nothing else then creations of boredom or a goofy mind. Just little, completely meaningless doodles on the skin, only to fade away.

However, in my world...

It means everything.

For your skin won't only be decorated with your own creations. Other scribbles will appear on your body from time to time. Innocent scribbles, that you never drew.

That your soulmate drew themselves.

Everyone only thinks it's a legend or some foolish blabbering, until the very moment an unfamiliar mark appears on their own body. Because, in fact, the legend is very true. Thousands of people found The One for themselves thanks to those tiny little marks. People started drawing on themselves often on purpose, or even leave tiny messages to their soulmate. It became just as common as eating or breathing. If you didn't have any drawings on your body, you counted as lame. As a loner. They immediately thought that you don't have a soulmate, and denied you from humanity.

You would probably now think that I counted as one of those loners. But actually... No. Drawings appeared on my body on a regular manner. They were usually quite silly or cute, picturing cute characters, or simply a little heart, or I even once found a message on my lower arm, saying 'I can't wait to meet you ^-^~" My soulmate honestly seems like a really nice and dorky person, so I will definitely get along with them.

I thought that with a smile, finishing the tiny little stars that I drew on my wrist. I didn't practically draw them for my soulmate, I was just bored and felt like drawing something random, while the TV was playing some random live broadcast. I didn't really pay much attention to it, too busy adding yet another star to my creation.

"So, Natsuki, what do you think of the soulmate legend everyone seems to be talking about?" I heard the host of the show ask with interest while I was coloring the star.
"Uwaaaa, my soulmate must be a real cutie!" I heard an overexcited male voice from the TV. "They draw me little messages every day~ I make sure to draw them things often too! Like... uwaaah!!!! I didn't see this until now!! Kawaiii!!! Look at these stars~"
"Stars?" I breathed out, furrowing my eyebrows and looking up. The male on the TV was pointing at his wrist, which had small star doodles on it. He showed it to the camera with a large smile.
I froze.
They looked exactly like mine.
".... Wait, what!?" I stared at the blonde head on the TV. I quickly drew a heart beside the stars- On the live, I saw it appear right before my eyes. "...."
"Aaah, look! Now a heart~ Soulmate-san, are you watching this right now~?" the male asked excitedly, closing his green orbs and smiling at the camera. I felt my heartbeat fasten rapidly. That man right there was my soulmate. Not to mention he was extremely handsome and adorable at the same time.
I let out a high-pitched squeak.
"Aaah, here!! I will draw something too. Can you give me a marker, Host-sama? Thank you very much."
The blonde-head took the marker, then began drawing on his palm.
".... I... love... you. Here!!" he showed the palm to the camera with a large smile.
"..." my cheeks felt hot. I slowly opened my hand, only to see the message on my palm.
"... I... have to find out his name. What's his name!?" I snapped out loud. I looked at the bottom of the screen.
